cant believe how relatively cheap these are now. Anybody not in the know would still think £20k+ car minimum? I always loved the look of the 996's not sure why they were generally disliked (apart from the water cooled engine thingy)

85k miles, facelift, spoiler and a decent colour, all for sub £10k wink
Bloody hell! You've done well there! clap

Getting a facelift without ridiculous mileage for that price is fantastic.

Off to check the classifieds...

Awesome. I will own a 911 one day.

85k, I think this 911 will not get any lower in price. Well done sir. smile

Always wanted a 911...

They look fantastic, congrats!

Went out in my uncles earlier in the year and fell in love instantly.

Too right. I searched for ages and only ever turned up early models for that money so ended up spending a lot more on mine.

Well done, lovely car. Looks very simular to mine except yours has a spoiler which I really like. You have done great getting that for sub 10k, enjoy smile

Congrats on your purchase, I am a big 911 fan, I've missed the 30 deadline already as I am 33, but I will definitely have one one day. I think the 997 will be the one for me. In the mean time I'll keep dreaming and dribbling!

Congrats youve got one, more pictures please, what have you just come out of? What is it like compared?
Came from a VXT > Z4C > 911. Also got a Clio as a winter car/runabout so don't use the 911 as much as I would like. I've always wanted one and it's an itch I had to scratch. Got it a week before my 30th so I reached my target of ownership before I was 30! I had initially budgeted for an early pre-facelift 996 but then found this on eBay and it was perfect. 85k miles, facelift, spoiler and a decent colour, all for sub £10k wink It's booked in for the IMS bearing mod, service and brake fluid change in the new year.

It's dirty at the moment as haven't had the chance to wash it but this is the only other photo I have of it
that looks absoloutely sensational, great colour and the spoiler does enhance the visual impact. Looks like an absoloute bargain, hell of a lot of car for the money. I am planning on treating myself with a 993 for my 40th in a few years time, but as years go by 996s just look too good value to look anywhere else

Well done, picked mine up September.

Loving every minute of it so far. Had it PPI'd and have a list of minor jobs that need doing. That's what winter is for smile

Dan

Reminds me, I haven't put my car up on here yet. Will do soon. Need to give it a wash first!! biggrin

Mine has needed a few bits doing; rear brakes and aircon rads which I was aware of when I bought it, but also needs the valve cover gasket doing and the plugs need changing as these have been missed off despite going through OPCs and specialists for servicing with previous owners.

And then the rear tyres will no doubt need replacing in a few months.

But I love it to bits and just wish I got to drive it more.

Well done p4cks.

8 months in, I still adore my sub-10k (actually 8,500£) Porsche 996. (cheeky excuse for a photo)

That's a hell of a lot of car for sub £10k!! Agree about more pics, interior etc...

You're a brave man letting a stranger drive your new car before you did!

Alway's like your thread's. Interested to hear your thought's on how it drive's / performs..... thumbup

Thanks chaps. I'll take some pics when I get it back - it's currently at Nelson Porsche having the IMS bearing replaced (purely precautionary), a service and a brake fluid change.

Also, was informed on way back home after dropping it off that it's going to be an engine out (and more costly) job because it is triptronic.

Nice car OP. Great to see some real examples of good 996s, to prove that £10k (or less) really can buy a quality modern 911.

One or two? The parts are only cheap, but I guess you are paying more labour.
