My Peugeot 205gti (Dimma) Restoration

Christ.
That car is definitely not beyond your considerable repair skills if it were written off ... but the repair bill through the insurance would not be peanuts if it was deemed repairable.
If it WAS written off (i have no idea of he value, agreed value or anything, so have no idea) - would your heart be in it to repair it if you could buy it back? Especially with the Cat C classification.
I know you were initially thinking of selling it when it was done.
Best of luck with the insurance whatever way they go.

OP, that's gut wrenchingly bad luck - I hope this less than careful person who kind reshaped the back wasn't using their phone at the time? Good luck with getting the insurance to sort it, but I bet if they do, that you'll be very specific who repairs it? It's sad to see the car like it is, but it's the very reason why many with desirable classic cars are driving them less on a day to day basis.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
