Not any more. I drove it to BMW for a service last December but haven't really driven it for a year or so. I have been pretty busy with the other project though smile

I've treated the car to some new splitters. I've made the decision now that the car will be sold so I'm going through it making sure everything is as new. It's hit 37k miles and won't be doing any more in my ownership other than to BMW for a service.

Removed the dust sheets and gave it a polish.

Was wondering if you still had this, got a replacement in mind?

Just a lovely looking car. I was killing time at Lloyds of Carlisle and I didn't know at first glance what series a lot of the cars were' especially from the front! They all looked the same!

The plan is to put the money into a BTL property, but I am going to change the Golf for something V8 - maybe next year.

I agree - classic shape. Everything is 'right' on them, including the interior smile

I'd guess it's a Mercedes flavoured V8. C63?

It is, but it will be a CLK. I really like them.

I have a similar car, albeit with less mods. I can't help feel you're selling too soon. These are yet to hit their stride, and good cars are increasingly few and far between.

I love the work you have done on this car and it inspired me to do several of my mods including the sat nav retro fit.

Where did you source the reversing camera as I'd like to do the same but cannot find a BM retrofit kit?

Thanks,

David

Thanks David. The kit came up eBay and unfortunately I've never seen another like it. I recommend one of the generic cameras that replace a numberplate light; I've had one fitted to my Golf for three years and driven in all weathers, and it still works perfectly.

I never did get around to an advert...I'm sending the car to BMW for an oil service - not that it really needs one, but it's the schedule! - and an MOT. I also had the diff inspected by GSR and new oil, just to be sure - all is as new. I also expect the BMW health checks to be green.

PH ad to follow when it is back from BMW.

The car is back from its oil service at BMW and everything is green except for an amber on the rear brake pads, which are at 4mm, so I've ordered some Brembo pads and will fit them once they arrive.

BMW also MOT'd the car.

EDIT: Photo removed and added to for sale summary.
