1995 Ford Mondeo 4x4
Discussion
I was dredging up some of my old car photos today, then did some research on my 1996 Mondeo Si 4x4 - found this thread so thought I’d add it to the list!
Mine was Pepper Red, I think the reg was N166 EPU. I bought it back in 2000 ish, had it for a couple of years in my early 20s. Fitted it with a set of Goodyear Eagle F1, it was incredible in wet weather!!
I sold it to a guy who said he was going to take it with him over to Dubai, or somewhere around that neck of the woods - don’t know other than that what became of it.
A close friend of mine also had a Mondeo Si in Citrine yellow, RS kit and that looked very smart.

Great seeing these old cars (dont seem old to me) having seeing Mk1 Mondeos all over the place when I was growing up.
Nice seeing cars of this era like this that are 'designed in proportion' with everything on the car, seems to be something car manufacturers cant seem to manage lately, or do so by adding 20+" wheels to compensate for the over weight, over regulated bodies.
Thanks for sharing (old thread I know).

If he's still active I think the OP more than owes us those interior pics! I had no idea Ford did a 4x4 version of the Mondeo. I still see a MK1 estate pootling around town every so often piloted by an elderly couple. No gaffer tape or dents and on a private plate, I'm incredibly lucky. Used to see a P reg V6 estate, but thats sadly long gone

That's quite a rarity, although Ford did make 4 x4 Sierras in the 80s/90s with V6s and the 2 litre DOHC engine.
I borrowed a 1989 4 x 4 Cavalier 2.0iL from a mate many years ago and really liked it. It had the 130bhp engine from the SRi but I think Vauxhall only sold them as saloons - no hatches for some reason.

I don't own the car any more, sold it a couple of years ago. It came back up for sale again some time later, but looked pretty sorry for itself - split bumpers, dent in the sill, different wheels and various bits and pieces stuck on to it and some bizarre story by the seller that he'd won it in a "bonus ball" competition. It had no MOT for a while, but was then MOT'd and taxed again in September last year, so hopefully someone's spent some time on it. Would be good to know what it looks like now....
