What are they, for future reference?

Does the GT 86 take wider wheels/tyres than those that come as stock? I know skinny tyres are part of its driving appeal but I'd prefer something slightly fatter than 205's

The gt86 will take much bigger wheels and tyres - a friend is running 18x9.5's.

Mine are stock size (17x7) but with a slightly lower offset. They are Konig Daylite's and come in at 6.5kg a corner (2.5kg lighter than stock). The stock tyre size is 215/45/17. Mine is on Federal 595RS-R's at the moment. They are the stock size but come up wider than a normal road tyre - the equivalent of a 225 width I'd say.

Couple of updates for this.

Got some new winter wheels:-

And some new wheel nuts for them:-

Decided to go with a set of RAYS closed ended nuts as all the other sets (5!) I've had have either corroded, chipped or are open ended and so lead to the studs corroding.

Not tempted to keep these for summer wear and use the stock for harsh winter wear?

No - I really dislike the stock wheels so plan is these for the winters, black ones for track use and sort out another set for summer use.

Quick update:

Fitted my rear cusco carbon strut brace recently:-

With the boot mat:-

I also added a mishimoto intake hose to clean up the engine bay a bit and delete the sound generator:-

I've also picked up a set of 911 GT3 brake ducts to fit soon to direct a little more cool air to the brakes when pushing on and ahead of my planned brake upgrades.

Fitted some new wheels and had the geometry set up.

(Excuse the state of the car)

The wheels are Rota Titan's in 17x9 et42 finished in a custom bronze (which the people who've seen them in the flesh will be able to confirm bears little resemblance to the colour the pictures show!) fitted with 235/45/17 Continental Sport Contact 5's. Wheels and tyres weighed in at 18.1kg. When I weighed the stock wheels and tyres I got them as 18.7kg so a (cough) massive 600g per wheel saved. However, the fact there is any weight saving at all with that much wider wheels and tyres is pretty good.

Geometry was set to -2.7 degrees camber at the front with 0 toe and at the rear -2.2 degrees camber with a little toe in.

Alcantara binnacle cover and dash panels fitted. My old binnacle cover had faded quite badly:-

I had the Motons fitted and was able to grab a few pictures which I thought I'd add here.

Motons ready to go on:-

Comparison of front moton and tein flex a:-

Comparison of the rear moton and flex a:-

Motons and Whiteline front arb link comparison:-

I also grabbed a couple of pictures of the 911 GT3 brake ducts that were fitted a while ago.

Final picture shows the deflector on the front bumper (right on the picture) fitted as stock and how this guides the air towards the GT3 brake ducts (left on the picture) which then guide it towards the brakes themselves:-

Nice. Were the Flex As not cutting it or just fancy an upgrade because you can?

I found the flex a's to be excellent on the road but just not quite stiff enough on track so when the chance came to get these I took it.

I decided I missed running more track biased tyres so sold the bronze wheels and sport contact 5's and ordered a set of Cup 2's to try

And fitted
