Cheers gents. Happy with it now.

My cd changer kept getting a disc jammed in. Got fedup with it so replaced with the CD43. If you have a E36 and a CD43 with the standard cd changer then it wont work. You need to upgrade the changer and the cable to ibus from the E46.

I am leaving mine all in place so if I sell the new owner has everything to put back to factory.

as for the vent, unsure sorry. I am sure you could get some leverage on it with the HU out.

the car is going into storage for a while and buying something cheap to run around in

Lets just say I wont be using them again.
shame because when I seen the car a few hours before (still in bits) the paintwork looked mint. Never mind, got there in the end and they have been relatively good with fixing bits I was not happy with.

As I promised myself, the GTII is coming off the road and going back into storage.

I managed to pick up a complete bargain

BMW E39 528i Sport Auto

I will get a photo of all three of the BMWs together at some point (E46 330i Sport, BMW M3 GTII and this Sport)

Happy days

Got the car booked back into the bodyshop on Tuesday so got the old girl out and gave her a clean. Also took a couple snaps of it next to my new purchase.

Cheers

Hi Mark see the m3 is still looking stunning would really like one myself but couldn't part with the escort how are you getting on with it compared to your escort (which I see is up for sale again) suppose it's a bit more reliable lol

Cheers guys.

Hi Matty,

Hows the Escort going?

Life since the Escort has been uneventful and reliable haha.
Yeah its been good mate, car has been spot on. Changed a few bits but nothing I wouldnt of expected.

I seen the guy I sold it to sold it on and then he put it up for sale. Is it for sale again? Do you have a link to the advert?

Not sure how or why someone paid £17,000 for it without pretty much all of its original parts. Seems odd to me. It was tidy though for what it was.

Not missing the Escort too much, sometimes a certain song will come on (Prodigy) and I wish I still had it. The M3 is just as quick in the real world (well safer to use the power) and takes any punishment well.

I do however wish I had PEG locked away in the garage with the miles I had on it when I bought it. Would be wrth some serious money now :-(

Mine is great thanks had M.A.D do a big turbo conversion with a twin scroll turbo it's is now 400bhp 400lbft with very little lag makes for a great road car.
Was looking through some old photos of peg the other night still my favourite car and the only one I really regret selling such a shame how she ended up.
Do you go to many ph meets I'm going to try and do a few this year a friend of mine has recently bought a low miles high spec estoril 96 m3 EVO and we've both said we are going to use them this year.

Sounds fun, MAD are very good. Took PEG there for a tune up. I bet your car fly s now then? Have you uprated the drive train or being very kind to it ha.

Yeah wish I still had PEG, was a lovely car. Looking back at some old photos and it just looked so straight. Never mind hey, we have the memories.

Yeah I seen that Dean guy sold it on, wonder how close he got to the asking price. I know Rob the guy I sold it too put around £10,000 into the car and then sold it for a massive loss. For the fun factor that Cosworth was up there with the best. Not many times I didnt get out of it and take an extra breath. Bloody thing was crazy. However with old(er) age I rarely drive the car hard now. I keep looking at this GTII and love it. Driving really nice at the moment as well (I guess like it always has) just appreciating it more now.

Maybe in a few years time I will look for another Cosworth to sit in the garage with the GT smile

MAD did a great job it does go very well now gearbox and diffs are next need to save the 4k for them first nothing for them is cheap as you well know the good old Rs tax.
The M3 does look lovely it's got a really nice shine I would'nt mind having it sat in the garage to look at.
