My 205 4X4 Cosworth
Discussion
Back in 1994 I owned also a Dimma 1.9 GTI with Gutmann tuning (160hp), you can see it next to my next car after that, the M3 e30 with all creme leather, even the dash and the hoodplank? and side panels were creme leather, although those side panels had also some black leather parts, no plastic to find in that car, the sealing was alcantara.
When I first saw (a friend worked there and noticed me when they had something cool) that e30 M3 I thought, nah thats to much of it, so I went home...could not sleep though...I thought thats a rare example and a great price (at the time) so next day went back to that garage and bought it :-)
Anyways, back to the Dimma (thats the only picture with it I scanned in ) I owned many GTI 1.9 also Gutman in normal body, bur with the Dimma there was almost no go above 160km/h or so (even a normal 130hp GTI would go faster above that speed), because of the wide body and bad vw :-)
Just like an old Fiat bertone X1/9 when you drive say 160 km/h and flap the light open...you go back to 154 or so or less? forgot about that, to long ago, anyways, you can feel the difference.
Ofcourse with that much power in your cosworth 4wd Dimma, its not such problem :-)

Hurry up and finish it already, then come out to play
I am calling Mark today to see if we are still on track for May. Are you up for bringing the Focus up to Santa Pod around Aug Sept as Scooby slayer has a 1500 bhp Skyline GTR and Rods old 200mph Saph to bring along. I am trying to get my mate to bring his Carrera GT too.
With some luck I can take mine

Fantastic car. I remember in my early 20’s seeing the 205 Cosworth in Max Power and thinking there was no car I would want more (maybe a 930 911 but not much in it!).
My son is at college studying motor mechanics and his favourite car is the Group B T16 and he wants to create something similar in the future. Just hope there will still be 3dr 205 shells about!
Glad to see this car in good hands and still looking epic. Thanks for the updates.

Same for me, I used to think it was my ultimate car back when max power was quite new...when I saw it locally I just had to have it. I sold my lovely 911 shortly after to free up the resto funds. My son is at college studying motor mechanics and his favourite car is the Group B T16 and he wants to create something similar in the future. . This is my 911 doing what it did best at Bedford
