What are the plans for the body?
GRP B + period appropriate colour scheme of something more discrete.
What a thing though. Looks great.

I am really torn on the final body…either Grp B rep, Keep it red as lots of people remember the max power car or even a copy of the grey T16 road cars. Most likely it will be Grp B
This is the winner so far.

This brings back memories!!!
What a car........I even thought about this car earlier. I'd just passed a silver 1.6 309 gti, a car that I hadn't seen in over a decade driving towards Guildford this afternoon!
I am very near Guildford and recently sold my mint 1.9 gti which I converted to gti6 2.0 16vWhat a car........I even thought about this car earlier. I'd just passed a silver 1.6 309 gti, a car that I hadn't seen in over a decade driving towards Guildford this afternoon!

One drove through Helmsley over the weekend - appeared to be full grp a spec in the works colours.I am really torn on the final body…either Grp B rep, Keep it red as lots of people remember the max power car or even a copy of the grey T16 road cars. Most likely it will be Grp B

Just before phill's (rotary and scaffold poles) buggy came through funnily enough.
It's just such an evocative cour scheme. I think it's a great choice.
We were having dinner at the time and it was the only car I mentioned to my car mad 13 year old son... and there was plenty of modern exotica enjoying the halycon weather.
You can see the WRC style rear suspension turrets. The fabricator forgot to allow room for the remote reservoirs on the Shox to go up and down so I need to decide if I am going to cut them out or remote mount the reservoirs.
I have still got to fit a fuel tank within the rear cage and probably allow for a hump in the floor as I really want to get the exhaust over the top of the rear cradle.

I always regretted not buy the grey cosworth 4x4 205 that was about £20k 10 years ago.
Yes, I knew the owner at the time and was offered it. H20 COS and was everyone’s favourite. It needed a decent fuel cell putting in as the rear tank was very dangerous in my opinion as was right where a car would run in the back and cover the occupants in petrol as it retained 4 seats.rallye101 said:

Haha, showing off now....if you need an evo 8 camera car for action shots I'm round the corner!! Won't keep up with that though...prefer a spin in that over a t16/22bm3jappa said:

I look forward to more posts about it.

A while ago, after the 4x4 gearbox broke I converted it to a Skyline 4x4 box with switchable 4wd and 2wd, it span the wheels in 4th gear in 2 wheel drive on a dry road. It’s was a heavy and noisy box so I swapped to the 30kg lighter oppliger box.
Here is a pic of the skyline box with Cossie bellhousing welded on;
Supra rear diff.
Mapping session on the previous engine:
Bespoke water expansion tank
Oppliger gearbox with upgraded viscous coupling, built by Bara motorsport. I bent a selector fork and Bara replaced that for me. We think the quick shift was too aggressive and had no give in it so I removed that.
WRC breather system, the 2.2 stroker engines move a lot of air / breathe a lot. Even a standard Cossie can pump out oil if they are not set up to breathe when you start upping the power. I had a billet fuel rail made too.
Breather and cam trigger being added to the cam cover plus machined for Yaris coil on plug conversion, this allows me to do away with the ancient distributor.
I had these stainless bolts made to bolt down the cam cover and then the coil on plugs bolt in to the top of those.
