Aye, agreed, Butters - the gloss one you posted above looks ace yes

Very cool Indeed. First time I've seen an EP3 in that colour.

How long are you intending on keeping your car for?

I’ve no plans to get rid of it for the foreseeable future, I did toy with getting it sold a few months back and buying an Evo, but I sat and thought about it and I just don’t want to :hehe;

It does everything I need right now and is plenty of fun.

I’ll see what the cost of the wrap is and decide what to do from there, if it’s a lot I might just hold off and get a respray in the original colour next year.

Good to see a set of Bilsteins & Eibach in use! I've always advocated a good set of shocks/springs with money spent on adjustable arms/bracing over almost all of the sub 1k coilovers.

Regarding the wrap /grey colour , have you considered something like the Audi Nimbus Grey
  • even found a Civic in the colour for ya.

Yes that’s very nice.

I’ve been to see a wrapping company today, they’re gonna let me know a cost for doing it. I’ll see what that comes out like.

As for the Bilsteins, I didn’t set out to buy them but they came up on eBay for such a good deal!! They are superb shocks though!

Another couple of jobs ticked off today, I think, hope, pray, that we’ve sorted the charge out. Alternator back on with a new belt, ELD checked and plug cleaned etc.

Now seeing 14v on the voltmeter...

And no battery light.

Huzzah!!

Rear brakes now on too, they look ace IMO.

Still undecided on the wrap!

Honestly, this thread keeps making me want to throw money at mine. With a gearbox rebuild being the first thing...

That's far too much fuel for a type-R - don't you know a full tank doubles the kerb weight?!

I don't ever run it below 1/2 full, end up with hideous fuel starvation on cornering!

Test fit of my new Fuel pressure gauge tonight. Looks good, just need to sort the pod out and put it on the A Pillar.

  • sigh*
Another day, another issue. Started a few weeks back with a bit of hesitation when cold, then to hesitation when hot, then to just a massive flat spot when you put your foot down.

Garage looked at it..

Changed the plugs, all fine
Checked the coils, all fine
Checked fuel pressure, all fine
Checked the maps, all fine.

So went into the ECU and ramped up each injector seperately to check flow, 4,3,2 all made no difference, upped the flow on 1, and hey presto, issue solved.

So last night the Injectors came out, which meant supercharger off (again) and dropped off for testing. Injector 1 found to be running at some 50% flow. Ultrasonic cleaning and backflushing through seems to have sorted it so they will go back in and see how they perform now but I think I will be ordering a spare injector from RC just in case.

Fun fun fun..

Well that was pretty conclusive, injector 1 was the issue. All cleaned and bo flowing properly, back in the car tonight and running as sweet as a nut!

The total including the diagnostics was £130. A hell of a lot cheaper than having to buy a brand new set of injectors!

Car is behaving pretty well at the moment. Trying to decide whether to keep it or change it next year for something slightly more practical!

If you do decide to get rid, drop me a line. Always fancied trying a decent EP3 as a track toy.

Will do!

It’s a tough one as I’ve no idea how much to price it at. Obviously it’s had s fortune spent on it over the last 3 years which I know I’ll never get back!

<Sucks teeth, sighs deeply>

Well, what it is mate, no-one wants these fings anyway, ‘specially once they’ve been mucked abahht wiv.

I’ll give ya a couple of grand for it, an dat’s doing you a favour.

angel

In all seriousness, I’ve got to decide whether to sell or hold onto my M3, you don’t know if you’re going to sell the Civic, but if the stars align at some point next year then who knows. Can’t hurt to ask smile

good price for the injectors imo. I'm sure mine could do with a refresh.

Charltjr, I’ll keep you in mind. I’ve always fancied an E46 M3 actually.... hehe

Sean, it’s a decent price. That was with me taking the injectors out though. Easy job on a standard inlet manifold, not so much when you’ve bolted a supercharger to the front of the engine. As we’ve had it apart loads we were able to have it apart much quicker.

All seems to be well at the moment except my fuel pressue guage playing up so I'm speaking to the supplier this morning.

Nice dusting of snow this morning. 320bhp + No diff + Snow = No drama at all.
