A few pics from Christian Lewis. The red DB4 soft top is one of two in the world, the other being LHD. Insured for 2.4m!

Havent kept up with every single thing, but i think there are some improvised thing in there (some mounting things and perhaps some light-weight stuff) which is different from the factory item.

Reading wikipedia the Scud engine also has a higher compression ratio, not sure if OP went that far..

Still, an impressive build all the way, i can only imagine it feels sharper and faster then the standard spider.
The engine project will come under phase 2. There's a high level spec a page or two back.
Cool, big respect for handling this one so very thoroughly! and massive props for handling this all so OEM+ like, plenty of people would've gone "meh, ill stick a turbo on there and itll be faster then a 16M" and call it a day.

I've been following this since the start and it's an amazing car. I spotted the car yesterday at Silverstone Classic in the Ferrari section. I'm really impressed by the quality of the work you've done and it really shows in the flesh. The rear grill around the exhaust will finish the back end when you get it and I'm very impressed by your other halves work on the seat stitching you wouldn't know it wasn't red from the factory.

Did the good lady just do the sharpie trick, or was the dye "sealed" in any way?

No sealing. It's the ink as it came out of the pen.

Some pics from the Silverstone Classic. Such a good weekend! The event was incredibly well run and all the staff were polite. We met some really nice people/owners and saw an incredible array of cars. The historic F1 was amazing to watch.

With regards plate blanking I will always do this out of courtesy if the owner is known, but as it is these cars are pretty much anonymous hence I haven't done it. If you are an owner and want your plate blanking please let me know.
