Man up !! Everyone knows lifts are for girls Replacement springs/dampers (fronts fitted & removed twice due to Silverstone supplying the wrong springs ...) rears a 'mare (feckin rollcage....), brake discs, front calipers, rear toe links, exhaust/cats. No lift (and I suspect I've seen more birthdays than yow, so I'm fatter/more unfit)

And you've got poncy McStruts all around with hardly any links! 911s with kinematic toe are mans cars, I tell thee, all of those lovely seized bolts. That said, the ones that were the bds on my 996 were the same as would be on an equivalent 986 - lower arm inner eccentric and toe link eccentric. sts they were, sts.
What kit did you use J ?
I'd suggest the 997 GT3 shifter is the way to go, (£130 iirc) & takes no more than 10% out of the throw, but also removes 12 years worth of wear/slop and makes the change feel new again, but without making it heavy, notchy, unpleasant when cold or putting undue stress on the synchros.
If that doesn't float your boat, Gen 2 997 3.8 GT3 RS or Manthey shift kit is the way to go, but the latter doesn't come cheap ....

Some clown had fitted this cable end
http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod4199/Shift-Linka...
and a short shift kit :
to the '6 GT3 you drove. They were the first things I removed and placed them carefully in file 13 (that's the round one in the corner of the garage...) before fitting the previously mentioned 997 GT3 shift.
Both parts were ill conceived tat (the Schnell QSK advertised as having a 30% throw reduction, ergo a 30% increase in force needed to shift too)
Aftermarket quickshift kits are source of mystery and wonderment to me, I mean why do people fit this sh*t and ruin their gearchange quality in the name of "sportiness" ?

Just a thought - could that smell (dead rat smell I mean) you're looking for be something to do with the air con needing to be cleaned out?
I don't know the air con architecture of a Boxster (I know - terrible behaviour - it's standard knowledge on PH etc etc!) but if the interior is smelling it could coming from the air vents?

Looks like you trying fairly hard Moose !
There in lies the dilemma for me, I'm so far very impressed even on standard suspension and 19 inch wheels just how hard these cars can be driven and enjoyed on a variety of B roads, the car inspires so much confidence, even in the wet, I will at some point try 17's as well. I am questionning if really a fast road/track set (for 3/4 track days per year) is worth it, and would I loose that real world drivability ?
Also I think asthetically they look right at Cayman R ride height, I've had a quote to change to CR springs retaining the S dampers and stiffer H+R adjustable antiroll bars but I assume full dampers as per pss9 or ohlins when available should give more adjustment from road to track and back.
