Is your seat fitted directly to the runners or via adaptors?

IIRC the side mounts were fitted to sliding bases, as said they were done by Lohen so they may have more detail on it.

Car is long gone so can't go and have a look!

Already been in talks with Lohen. They've suggested I purchase a pair of cobra side mounts and then fit them directly to the car.... Without the runners.

Plan to head back up there next month.

Btw I like what you done with the dash!

Fitted my Sparco's straight to the floor, can't imagine using the adapters and runners I bought with the seats initially, took the lot back, as mechanically made no sense and my head would have been on the roof.

I hated the silver interior, had a few chats with Loz at LGTrimming then handed it over to him for a week. All the dash, dash top, gaitors,arm rests and downtubes were done in nappa leather and any silver bits were sprayed satin black.

Different car by the time I got it back.

Collect a set of R888R tyres a couple days back.... Just in time for the next PHSS Trackday at Silverstone!

Received my new VAC Motorsport floor mounts today. These should sort out my seating position issue.

Refused to believe the hype and drove all the way from Wales to the Midlands yesterday. Getting there was fine..... The drive back was the biggest issue.









Took me about three hours. But made it back safe and sound.

Things done -

• New set of R888R tires fitted and
• Wheel alignment

Also planed to have my new floor mounts fitted. Unfortunately, They dont line up with the Recaro side mounts . So going to have to think of something else!

Finally got around to sorting out my seating issue. I no longer feel like I'm driving an SUV.



Service and MOT next... Also thinking about the following -

• Half cage for harnesses.
• Pole position of the passenger side....

This was the original setup



I basically got rid of everything (runners, side mount adapters and the side mounts). A friend recommended I get in touch with a company called VAC Motorsport.

So ended up getting their floor and side mounts.

The position is almost perfect. Im thinking about bringing the seat forward by an inch or two.

The last few weeks have been pretty busy. So will start from the top

• PHSS - Silverstone

I had been looking forward to this trackday for weeks. As the Mini hadnt really been driven since fitting the new set of R888R tyres. So you could imagine my disappoint (and concern) when I showed up to a soaking wet Silverstone circuit!

Long story short. I was pleasantly surprised, with how well the car handled on track!

• Trip to Lohen for a minor service

Had the rear pads and brake fluids changed. So now running Mintex pads (M1144) all-round.

• Trip to SWSS Mini for MOT

Passed!

Now patiently awaiting my next trackday. I really cannot get enough of this car. I can only think of a handful of cars (within my budget) that I would consider replacing it with -

Ginetta G40
Caterham 360 or 310
Renault R26R

Quick question - the front and rear black light surrounds are really tempting me. Are yours genuine Mini ones? Non-gen ones? Or just wrapped? Keen to know if they look as good up close? Cheers

The surrounds aren't wrapped. Unsure whether they're genuine Mini parts. As I got the car with them on.

I really like them (had planned to fit then to my first GP). I might be at the next Sunday service.. So feel free to have a look around.
