I think the SELOC directors stipulate it's got to be taken by the member. It is a great photo!

‘Big’ service done (C Service). Whilst in, it also received a new flexi-pipe, Cat given a new lease of life and refurbished, fuel filter and pipework and gear linkage bushes changed. Car felt great with a tighter gear change, also a little quieter.

As usual, good to have a look at what’s in at Phoenix, a right back catalogue of Lotus. An Elite, 2-Eleven, S1 Exige, Fisher Fury and another S1 Elise. I love these independents, long may they continue to keep our plastic cars on the road!

I didn’t get to drive the car for a week or two after its service. When I finally got chance to get out it was a pleasant reminder that the gear linkage bushes had been upgraded, very nice change on it, I hadn’t picked up on this as much when driving home from the garage, maybe as it was predominantly motorway. Stirring the box on Welsh roads certainly made me appreciate the work.

Some mixed company at the start of this recent spell of good weather, spring sun making the colours pop, fantastic seeing the cars bobbing up and down in undulations as we burst through clouds in higher sections of road driving

A little update, kind of wrapping up the warmer months (less wet).

Had a fantastic few days with PH filming the Best Performance Car Since 1998 series finale. The only two dry days in July, and we picked them right. As someone who likes cars, being around the finalist group was brilliant. The Caterham and Carrera GT were the cars that intrigued me the most, being up close on open, empty roads was something I’ll never forget. The Caterham scared the st out of me!

Photo credits to Harry and Sim for the PH25 shoot, lovely guys, very passionate about what they do too.

Too much to summarise for this thread, as mentioned though, as a Petrolhead, something that will stay with me for a long time.

Enjoyed the recent warm weather with a local Cars and Coffee type meet, a very mixed bunch of cars, the Elise looked so small compared to some of the American metal on-show. I also had a good poke around an Emira, very impressive in the plastic. One to consider in the future when I’m not as flexible.

An opportunistic Saturday morning seen an early dart to Wales with a neighbour. The morning was near car free, with clear runs for a few hours, bliss! Car was brilliant.

That’s it for now, need some new tyres in the spring, just need to decide what to go for scratchchin

Your thread is probably the reason I bought mine. Still looks so good!

Tyres wise I've found the NS2Rs really good as a mix of road and track. Only thing is the 195 fronts do come up rather large!

Thanks, glad I was a part of your 111S journey. Your car is looking good, look forward to your updates!

Not sure if Avon make ZZS in 111S/160 sizes too, will throw NS2 in the mix for consideration.

Will have to have a more in-depth look, I seem to recall my choice would be back to Yokohama for road, albeit RS to replace R.

AD08RS are good but I think next time I will try the more road focused ones (forgot the name) that Lotus recommend.

There isn't much choice anymore, 15" and 16" performance tyres are a thing of the past. Heard mixed reviews on the AD08RS, for dry road use they are a strong choice.

MOT and service booked, opted for AD08RS to be fitted whilst it's in.
