Love it too - in all it's analogue and hard plastics glory! thumbup

How much will need to be changed before it's driven if it's been sat for 20 years?
Fuel, oil, filters, gearbox oil (?), tyres too?

Not even an FM radio - in those days the car radio places did a great trade

So cool!
I love the raspy exhaust note on the old XR3/3i's.

Great find!

Wow, looks mint!

I'd be finding a second set of wheels to use and keeping those tyres on the current rims to avoid damaging them. They are probably worth a fair bit to the right person as well!

Blimey that brings back memories, I had one just like that back in the 80's, although mine was the injection model, forgotten just how much plastic there was but at least the wheels were easy to clean!

Bought one 2nd hand many years ago, it was a 1980 W reg example and and it turned out it was a Launch Spec model so it had Tilt/Slide Roof, Central Locking, Elec aerial, headlamp washer, upgrade stereo with 4, yes 4, speakers, tinted glass etc etc.

Really enjoyed it, just the twinchoke carb was a pain sometimes, butterflies kept sticking open

It wasn't but it had had a private plate on before I got it and in those days it didn't revert to its' original plate, just the next age related one available. Reg was LCK 857W when I had it, I did see it once in Bury about 5 years after I had it but I guess it has died a death now like many XR's
