I want to get a smaller pulley on mine but it's a pain apparently, usually have to cut the old one off...
I put a Numans cam in my last GP, that and a decat/manifold made 242 on the rollers
Old pulley should come off with a special mini supercharger pulley puller that's designed to do exactly that. I put a Numans cam in my last GP, that and a decat/manifold made 242 on the rollers
Pretty impressive figures. I'd imagine 250bhp in a GP is quite lively.
I don't want to start decating it to be honest. Just want to keep it sensible. I like it as it is including the stock JCW works exhaust.

Its really not! 10 years since i changed the pulley on my Mini, but the tools available now are a 1/3rd of the price when i got them! A Halfords flywheel puller would do the job to be honest, but they do have specialised tools that you'll use once then sell on!I put a Numans cam in my last GP, that and a decat/manifold made 242 on the rollers

Have a browse through the above website, they have the best kit for your mini available and are great to deal with.
Lovely car by the way! When i had my mini i Had an Alta cold air induction which sounded tremendous but Ive seen recently they now use an Orranje kit which looks OEM but changes the supercharger whine significantly.

Haven't updated this for a while, however shes had a couple of updates.
Full Inspection 2 service from Mini specialists Hallmark in Heybridge.
New BMW aux belt
New platinum plugs
Motul 300v oil
ITG/Vercchio foam air filter
Brembo HC front discs
Ferrodo DS 2500 front pads
Goodridge braided brake hoses
Motul RBF 600 brake fluid.
Then I took her to Snetterton last week, unfortunately it was wet. But the car was fantastic fun, didn't miss a beat all day and hussled some serious kit on track.
I may have accidently sourced some EXE-TC/Intrax coilovers for it too lol

I really was so close to getting one of these, I went with the gp2 just because of boring things like, my left leg would struggle with the clutch on this, I prefer the bigger brakes, I enjoy the fact that it gets 38 mpg no matter how hard I drive it, but when I see pics of the GP1 looking as nice as this I do have small second thoughts. Very nice car indeed, which tyres have you enjoyed the most out of the kumhos vs michelins? I'm getting some PS3s for the winter, but I have considered supers sports, but are they just as bad as clearing water? I obviously realise the v70as are rubbish in cold weather too.

I have one you can borrow if needs be (Pully puller). I also have the belt tensioning tool. Let me know if you want to borrow it. Pretty impressive figures. I'd imagine 250bhp in a GP is quite lively.

It will make your s/c whine more too!

Actually despite the crap weather im still on the V70as. I absolutely love them. The supersport is a great all year tyre IMO. Copes with rain adequately and still has reasonable grip in the dry. The V70 is a different league of steering response and grip. Theyre awful on standing water, but then so are most tyres.I ran my Clio 182 on Federal RSR and NS2Rs 365 days a year so I don't mind driving on track rubber all season.
I may put some on with a slightly deeper tread depth though, the V70s are on about 2mm which is a bit sketchy at the mo lol

Thanks very much, very much appreciated. However for the moment i'm sticking with it as stock power wise for now.It will make your s/c whine more too!
I am trying to not fiddle with it and concentrate on my Impreza WRC project.
I'll bare that in mind if in future I decide to swap the pulley
Don't mention it. No probs at all. Understand you don't want to mess with it too. I was the same with mine until I gave in! Looks great by the way. I'm slightly jealous. Would probably be there myself if it wasn't for those pesky kids. Bloody good cars all of the BINIs.
Still miss mine.
