Wow - nasty end to this thread.

Never heard of an engine blocking MELTING before - seriously high temperatures for this to happen surely?

Hope the insurance claim enables another epic purchase soon OP.

Thanks for updating this toomany2cvs.

Yep, my CX was lost to a fire at the group of units where it was stored. Police reckon it was deliberate but I have no further info. Thankfully no one was hurt.

I'm currently gathering my car mojo and will attempt to find something else worthwhile of fettling.

That's terrible O.P I feel your pain, this is the second time this has happened, there was another occurrence reported in the Daily Wail. I hope you had the vehicle insured.
