Sorry to hear this - glad you both got out though.

FWIW, it was a really interesting project, and I enjoyed reading it.

Gutted for you as I always enjoyed your updates and enthusiasm.
My mate had a similar tale, bought a mini at 15 spent two years rebuilding it, had it on the road 10 days and then a fire destroyed it (jack across the battery!)

Just saw the video, you have been very lucky to leave that scene with your daughter!

Forget about the stupid car, there are hundreds of it, dead cheap available.. To cheer you up, this is not the first Porsche on fire we have seen here.

Awful to see, i check updates on this quite frequently, waiting for the final mapping session video and a picture of a graph with big figures. Mouth was fully open reading that update with it on fire, absolutely gutted for you. At least you and your daughter are unscathed.

Bloody hell. Feel sick after all the effort and investment (time and cash) you've made in that car. At least you and your daughter got out ok.
Like others, I may not have commented but have been following the build reading updates whenever they appear.

Hope you manage to recover and can do another when time and finances allow.

Totally gutted for you frown I'm pleased you and your daughter got out safely - and I think I'd have probably chosen my own daughter's teddy too as she'd have been more upset if he'd been burnt too...

Devastating end to a fantastic project, I can't imagine what it must feel like to invest so much time and energy and money and end up like this.

You have my sympathy, which isn't worth anything but still.

Jesus that's gutwrenching. I'm getting a bigger fire extinguisher.

I'm glad you and your daughter are OK though!

Bad news. As others have said, you and your daughter are okay-that's the important thing.

Glad you're both ok. I felt physically sick watching that go up, and it's not even mine. Cruel end to a lot of effort. All the best.

So sorry to see that, was discussing this with a guy at work the other day.

Still, on the positive side, you managed to create it, learnt a lot, its a hell of an achievement and nothing can take that away form you, plus neither you or your daughter got immolated in the incident, which is always a bonus smile

Onwards and upwards, try not to dwell too much, wont change anything and just make you feel crap.

I'm so incredibly sorry for you.

At least you two are ok - That's the main thing.

You'll always have everything you've learned, and the enjoyment that you and your daughter doubtless got out of working on such an incredible project.
