OP, this thing is absolutely awesome! biggrin

You've basically built the car I had envisaged: stripped, cage, recaro's w/ harnesses, OZ's on coils and spacers.

I went and test drove one at KTR not long ago, really impressed by these cars but couldn't get the figures to add up frown

Rarely see these on the roads, not sure if that's a good or bad sign tbh. Nonetheless, the MEG RS is definitely an itch I'll need to scratch eventually!

Will continue to follow this thread thumbup

o bad weekend at nurburgring with gearbox mount bolt snapping as I arrived to the villa then splitting a driveshaft in half on Karussel I'm now about €1500 poorer but I was determined to get car sorted and back out so new mount and driveshaft where sourced and fitted only to have 2 friends have a bad crash on track on their motorbikes with one being air lifted. Both are ok but ones shattered many bones but alive which is main thing. Car felt absolutely mega when was going well and had the help of a few German Megane owners getting car sorted. Anyway back home I've now ordered black series engine mount rubber and vibratechnic lower mount. Onwards and upwards as they say

Eventful trip Matt. Was following on FB and insta, fair play to your mates and fellow Megane owners for helping you get back out there. Respect for dusting your self off and getting back out there too!

Hope your biker friends are doing well?

Now have a second renaultsport haha this was bought off a guy at work who's had it 6 years it's in great condition but needs a few little bits and pieces but I'll use it as a cheap track fun along side Megane and also a stepping stone for my little brother to start track days. Who knows I may go racing in it

Your car just looks so right and purposeful, looks great on the track pics.

I've been guilty of overlooking these, despite the glowing reports in the motoring press, but you've shown that with a few well chosen mods they can look, and no doubt go, fantastic.

Enjoy!

Haha yes they truly are fantastic cars and even without the mods they are very very capable cars.

So I'm now using Flickr and can't get BB code to embed pictures off of android but here are some links.

The Megane has a 7 page feature in this month's performance french car magazine which I am absolutely over the moon about, it's more about the journey ive had with the car and the way I use it as a perfect all rounder then about the build as the build itself for you those that have kept up with it is pretty tame but either way 7 pages makes me a happy man.

I've just Foote powerflex engine mount insert and vibratechnic lower dog bone mount and got myself a new private reg R25O MW as you can tell it's an Rs250 and my initials are MW.

Matt would you describe the feel of the car following the dogbone mount fitting please. Ive read other owners saying its a small improvement but one worth doing, particularly because the gearbox moves less and the changes become more positive.

It definitely stops a lot of gear box movement, it's hard to describe as my shift was already very crisp but lifting off throttle I have noticed it for sure

Well this definitely needs updating!

Since September 2017 I sold this Megane, bought and E46 M3, Audi ttrs, EP3, polo gti, Clio 197 with rs250 engine and now a year later I'm back in my Megane

Unfortunately a lot of the good stuff was removed by the owner but still left me a great base.

Car had stock interior, suspension and wheels so this all changed rather quickly and I've now fitted

BC coilovers
Ray's Prodrive GC-010E with ad08r
Full leather recaros
Alcantara steering wheel
Middle box delete

Had it back about 2 months now and I'm so glad I have it back.

You change cars more than I do, and that's saying something! Glad to see you're back in it. I sold mine earlier this year but it's only in Orpington so still nice and close if I ever want to go for a drive in it.
