Glad you got it back, one of my favourite cars on here.

Just out of interest what made you go back?
So many things buddy, I've had quite a journey in this car and I really regretted selling it. But mainly I really don't think there are many cars sub £15k that offer the same amount of driving pleasure, track ability and road ability.

One of our exclusive trackobsession session at castle Combe Forge action day yesterday. Far less cars and much better driving quality compared to the free for all's

I agree with you I'd go as far to say sub 20k & your one was well sorted, I understand buying your old car back I've done it on a few occasions & never regretted it.

It was a friend that's had it and he only done 1500miles in it so was a no brainer

Well time for a 1st in the UK I think (could be wrong) but I'm collecting parts to do a facelift conversion on the meg. Bumper and lights already bought, just a few bits needed

Looked handy @ Combe...

What kinda lap times on a clear track? Looked to be low 1m2X area

Used to do very similar round there in my ITB’d 16v mk2 Golf back in the day.

Time to see how my DC2 fares on the 12 Oct

Don't you have to change the slam panel to fit the facelift front end?

Just read this thread from start to finish. Great to see someone enjoying their car so much and getting some proper use out of it! I bet it has surprised loads of cars on track.

Love the Enkei's on your car too, quite a left field choice on a Megane! They are a great wheel, as well as the TE37's obviously wink

Making me want to get back on track myself! I should really seeing as I am so close to Brands Hatch.

Never really timed mate tbh, I've only ever done a soaking wet track day or sessions at a show there which really isn't the place to try and push on

I contemplated doing this with mine but ended up selling it before I got around to it. Couldn't really find much information so I agree you'll probably be the first in the UK to do it. I assumed the same list of parts above but obviously never found out.

Be interested to see how you get on. Maybe I'll buy mine back and do the same too!

This looks to be one of the older cars with a face lift front end bolted on.

I did notice that car so it's good to see it's been done.

I've not got the bumper, grills, supports, bonnet and lights which thankfully where plug and play. I'm just waiting for the headlight supports and we are good to go so in the mean time I've split the headlights and painted them up
