Excellent news about the 4 speed box. What are the ratios like? From memory they are they same as the old 3 speeder but with an overdrive 4th.? !
Yeah same ratios as the three speed and adds an 4th gear which is 0.69/1
Wonder if it still whines like crazy when you lock it in 1st like the old THM400

I have a 400 in there at the moment and it doesn’t whine at all

That's interesting, they were known for being quite noisy when locked into 1st and mine certainly was.

If you want to see an immaculate engine bay for an injected Jaguar V12 which is absolutely stock, email Ed Abbott from Abbott Jaguar & Abbott Racing. You could eat your dinner off it. He is a bit busy this weekend on the RAC rally of the tests, maybe next week.

Well I finally got my chrome back and it’s st so will be fighting for a refund and taking it somewhere else. It’s really thin, chipped at the end, full of swirl marks and scratches. Awful

Ask Roy the Chrome too look at them, I took some chronic bad copper boat parts there, he kept on copper plating and polishing until all the defects were gone, then nickel, then chrome. His work was amazing. I'm just not sure he will do a whole bumper. All his work is car/boat/furniture restoration. Tricky to find the building.

.

I’m going to send them to the company that chromed my old grille surround for Zunsport when they made my bespoke grille. Should have done that in the first place.

Yeah I really wanted them to be right because then the outside would look finished apart from the wheels and it would really feel like would be getting somewhere. I have contacted the company that chromed the grille see what they say.

Real bbs two piece wheels. The centre bore will need opening up to suit the front wheel bearings but I’m sure that won’t be an issue with what you have had done so far smile

18 inch 5x120 ET34 I think would need to check that but they have been confirmed they are the correct fitting.

shame about the chrome Craig, a real downer, i cant believe any quality control would let that out the door.

im really missing my old Coupe ans was tempted when it appeared on eBay a few months back....................40 odd grand was a bit optimistic from the vendor mind, i think he had a few too many puffs on the magic pipebiggrin.........add was withdrawn after a couple of days.

Do you still have yours Rob? I'm keeping my eyes out for an affordable specimen,
