Another update!

An item i've been after for ages came up for sale on one of the MX5 Facebook groups last week so I had to buy it - got it from a guy in Bournemouth, posted Friday and arrived Saturday!

It's an IL Motorsport rear view mirror and I love it. OK, it vibrates above certain revs which means you see double out of it but it's definitely a case of form over function biggrin

I also took the car to my first classic show on Sunday, Thirlestane Castle in Lauder. I had lots of interest and loads of folk came up for a chat about the car. Unfortunately I was parked under a tree all day so came home covered in sap and bird poo frown Had to wash the car as soon as I got home, but thankfully with all the wax on her it came off pretty easily.

Some photos at the show:

Being judged...

I have fixed my image hosting issues!

Basically Photobucket are saying i've gone over my 3rd party hosting limit and want me to pay $400 a year to continue so time to move everything lock, stock to another host.

They seem to be working, so fingers crossed!

Some latest photos of the car at a Central Scotland MX5 club meet in Falkirk last week (photo credits to Ryan Gilhooley).

I maintain what I said at the start, looks great. Those alloys and tyres set it off perfectly.

Latest addition, a bit more security to hopefully deter any casual thieves...

NRG short boss and quick release.

Looking good OP, and good to catch up with this thread.

I sold my NA this time last year, but a house move is on the cards and I might need a 'station car' and a '5 might make it onto the list.

Here's my old one - now less orange, but looking in fine fettle with its new owner.

Car is now back out of the garage after 7 months!

Finally got the new clutch in last week and everything back together.

Got my roof cleaned and reproofed today.

Brushed, hoovered, washed with Johnsons Baby Bath and then reproofed with Fabsil Gold.

Just need to get her through the MOT on Monday now! Then I can do a proper For Sale post.

Yes I know, she owes me a lot more!

I factored in a fresh import would be around £5.5k now (based on the most recent ones i've seen), then with the as-new Enkeis, coilovers, underseal, and all the other parts I feel it's a fair price for an immaculate car.

She has done <3k miles since being brought into the UK in Feb 2015.

She won best Mark 1 at the MX5 Owners Club bash in Braemar earlier this month.

I would let her go for £6.5 probably, but not any lower - i'll just keep her.

Unless someone offers me a p/x for a late model Mazda Bongo 2.0 with aero bodykit and dark colour...

Selling as she is not getting used - I am getting into my mountain biking and also looking for a small camper to head off at the weekends with Mrs Chimp and the dog now our daughter is older and has her own social life.
