New model is massive

Although slightly smaller in numbers of litres of boots pace than the mk4

This one will be remaining completely standard and err unmodified. Not even as much as a sticker

Although i did buy a big brown box from the USA to test out the boot space

A standard Mondeo this afternoon

Good news for once as well. The wife traded in her hateful horrid ecosport and bought me a spare engine and gearbox and associated ancillaries

Brilliant if you find yourself needing starters/alternators or anything like that on a Saturday afternoon

Although being a 2l tdci same as mine I might treat it to some tuning parts

Eta 4500 miles and counting

Managed to get over to the Capital Yesterday

And just a wee road trip today fort William to Mold in Wales

Glasgow to Horsham tommorow smile

I'm imaging first service will be next week some time currently on 6200 miles and another 1000 tommorow

and having spent the day tramping up and down the M6 i'm tempted to add a discrete mod,
saw this lovely front bumper attachment that I think might be useful

No regulation on us, normally just play it by ear. Take a break as and when.

Dealee didn't get near it
Genuine ford filter works out and £4.40 and oil around £1.50/litre on trade makes it a very cheap if somewhat bemusing in between oil change. Plastic sump and sump plug wtf. ,be interesting to see how it holds up to big miles

10k!? And I thought it was good going to do that since January. If we say you had the car at 0 miles on the 20th of April when you started this thread and clicked over 10k today after 41 days that means an average of 244 miles per day, or 89,000 miles per year! Do you actually do nearly 90k per year!?
Pretty much spot on but this doesn't take into account the full tank it arrived with

Economy looks woeful but it does spend a fair bit of time idling and round the town hopefully a few tweeks and some extra miles will improve it

Following this with interest.

I'm 8 months and 35k in with my 15 plate titanium. Same 150ps diesel. Definitely took some time to loosen up, started to feel better around 20k.

I've added a TDI Tuning CRTD box to mine and seeing around 500-530 miles per fill.

Brilliant car, I'm still amazed how quiet the cabin is. Shame the sat nav is useless, I've all but given up on it's ability to plan a route or correctly display the correct turn direction icons for roundabouts.
interesting to hear of the improvement in miles, wholeheartedly agree on the satnav, its a waste of space really. absolute shambles of a system more akin to something that i'd expect in a 10 year old car

use only BP diesel, but that's because of our fuel cards rather than any brand loyalty.

new bus has never known anything but, and old Mondeo was the same for 200k miles smile
