Great car OP, but then again I'm slightly biased... biglaugh

I've done 3k miles in mine and have averaged 16mpg, best was 24 on a 100 mile trip, predominantly around the m25. Worst was 11mpg, which was the day after picking it up taking my old man for a hoon - was quite proud of that.

I went for the 18 inch wheel as I actually prefer the look, quite like the sleeper effect it gives the car and much prefer the ride compared to the 19s - although the 19s are great looking wheels!

I still love mine as much as the day I picked it up, my only complaint is that the exhaust, whilst fantastic to listen to outside, can sometimes feel a little muted when in the car with the windows closed (forgive me, it is winter). A trip to EMP to strip the 2nd cats (once warranty expires) is on the cards.

Enjoy!!! thumbup

I can recommend this 100% - i had it done a while ago.

Gives a nice increase in volume without being OTT. And no droning / booming at all.

I haven't yet but am due a service in December so may look into it. Do you know if it covers things like gearbox oil change? Which apparantly you need at 30k miles.

I have just had a read through the exclusions section of the service care plan and nothing like that is listed,so i would say it is included, but always best to ask them no doubt.

What is the gearbox like in these? My mrs. has a W164 M class with the 7G-tronic and it's horrendous, really sluggish and sometimes reluctant to change, even with the paddles. I gather they're just like that, although I guess they may be configured and tuned differently on the big V8 models.
It's not like a dsg/dct etc but it's pretty good, especially on the facelift. In manual mode mine will do what I tell it to do. In sports mode it's very good and always seems to be in the right gear when pushing on. Comfort is almost seamless. It's a big step up from my old Range Rover sport box.
Good to know, thanks.

No idea, but i'm not on the plan. Big service is due (inc gearbox oil) and it's going to cost £750!

Me too! I got mine a couple of weeks ago. We're like a little gang.

For those of you that have upgraded the power: Is there any point? Traction on these things is pretty awful (in a good way) but it seems to have too much power for it's own good as it is

FOr me the gear box is definitely the worst part of the car. It is verging on sublime as a standard auto but it is far too civilised for this car, in my opinion. Gear changes are too slow and too smooth and in manual the delay when pulling a paddle, whilst probably only a fraction of a second, is so noticeably 'auto' and slower than twin clutch gearboxes I have tried.

Not really, but when you know the throttle is restricted to 65%, it kind of plays on the mind! It does make it a complete animal over 5k though!

A quaife LSD is a great upgrade. Lovely cars, almost irreplaceable already!

It is completely unique and I suspect the last of a kind.
I love everything about the car, even though you could definitely argue it was a bad car if you didn't buy into what it is.

Hope you are enjoying your cars,as you say these engines have started disappearing now,i would like to hold onto mine for a good few years but doubt that will happen, though what do you buy after one of these to replace all the fun and drama with four seats and decent space?.

Hope I can afford to fuel/insure/maintain one of these before good examples become extinct, it's pretty much a modern classic already

I'm also in the small wheeled club. I really must take some photos of the car myself, this is from the dealer.

More C63 friends. Hooray!

I took a quick exhaust video of the car earlier. Cold start, 3krpm on 1/3 throttle. It sounds damn good from the outside. As much as I love the comfortable interior, it does come at a price of exhaust note. I'm used to this type of noise (amplified somewhat) in my old T350C.

Lovely, these look fantastic in black/dark blue with the smaller wheels, or the diamond cut ones.

I have spec envy, i like the coupe in white but the saloon in black, if only i could have one of each!
