Next on the list is lower it a bit more, tint the rear glass, new tps and throttle body shaft seals. Drive it for the rest of the summer and over winter remove the running gear and underseal the chassis and poly bush and paint everything possible

Small update for anyone interested. I finally got around to taxing and nct (mot) the car. It passed wit only advisories for the tyres being over 6 years old(they have 1000km) on them. I couldn't source an original cat for it so I bought an evo 7 unit with the thinking 01 emissions should be a lot stricter than 95 so it should cope well in the test. Out with the grinder and welder and cut out a section of the exhaust. I then traced the flanges on the cat and got a mate to run off four duplicates on his laser bench. A couple of hours later I have a cat and de cat pipe easily interchangeable for future tests. A bit of fiddling with timing lights and throttle set up and she came in bang on 1.00 lambda. After a day or two of easy driving I floored it and it over boosted to 1.5 bar. So back up on the ramp. I lengthened the actuator rod one rotation and it's now sittin at solid 1.1 bar which I feel is enough. After all that I decided to bring it down to the mitsubishi 100 year anniversary event where to my surprise it was awarded best evo of the event despite the amount of big power more modern 5 6 7 8 and 9 with a few mr models turning up. Alas all was not well. An hour away from home the alternator decided it was no longer happy in life and topped itself.(ironic best evo breaks down on the way home) anyway I pulled of the alternator and sent it to be rebuilt. Apparently the brushes were worn and only charging intermittently this explains why it was fine when I checked it before I put it on the road. I'm away to France for a fortnight on an Uber council holiday(9 members of family in a transit mini bus to a mobile home Park) so hopefully this will be the last hiccup when I get it back together.
