Had a bit of a drive round and the glass doesn't budge. It's pretty stiff and probably why the thing has broken in first place.

Mine did the same a few months ago, the cable snapped but the motor still worked fine. One new window regulator and we're back in business.

One of mine went just after I bought it. Was before I found my good local guy. Cost me a packet ....

I'm gonna go ahead and order the cheapest one I can find on eBay and have a bash at it.

Yeah only thing of moderate concern is getting the position of the glass right. Right now the motor is going up and down and doing nothing so I'm guessing the brackets are attached to the glass but the cables to the motor are snapped.

It's the reason I didn't do it myself - I remember doing it on my ITR years ago and it was a pain aligning the glass ... !

You might have more patience than me ....
