I've done some research and one of the videos I watched the guy marked the glass position with tape before he removed the metal brackets. So then it's simple because you know where the brackets were attached. My thinking is this, if I try it and balls it up then I can go pay the Porsche guys to do it. It's not like I need to lie under the car or do any heavy lifting. It's just a bit of glass going up and down.

Anyone here tackled it themselves?

I'm gonna go ahead and order the cheapest one I can find on eBay and have a bash at it.
I've done it 3 times.

Once each side and then again on the drivers side as I used the cheapest new one I could find on eBay.

The other times I used good used ones and they have so far lasted far far longer.

Don't forget to take the "boxster stop" out of the runners or your window won't go down all the way.

Mine had the booster stop left in on the driver's window and I always thought the regulator had a problem! Found a post about it one day at work, whipped the stop out and now it's golden

The cheap ones on eBay say 2 year guarantee. Any idea what a genuine Porsche part costs.

Ooh ... how much?

I am almost scared to drive on a winters night because the headlamps are so bad, even with the best bulbs I could buy!

Mind sharing who did the conversion for you?

Indeed, Isn't there a leveling system on the rear axle?

Indeed - very interested and could put the car off the road whilst they were sent to be done!

I'll have a spare set of headlamps ones these go on. I'll ask him if he is interested in doing more. He sort of did mine as a favour.
