Hi,

I thought I'd share some photos of my new toy. I bought it to sit alongside the Z4M and to replace my TVR Chimaera. The idea was to completely restore my Chimaera, new paintwork, new interior, new roof etc. But then I came across this, sold my Chimaera and bought it!

It was a very difficult decision to sell the Chimaera. I'd owned it for 4 years and I loved that car. We took it on holiday every year and we had so many happy memories in that car. I really miss it! But I'm hoping the new toy will be just as much fun!

Details are:

1996 TVR Griffith 500
Topcats Racing engine conversion - new LS3 6.2 V8
Tuned to 530hp and 515 ft lbs torque with swtichable Emerald ECU
Accusump oil surge system
Engine bay trimmed in gold leaf heatshields
Tremec TKO 600 gearbox
Complete bare chassis restoration from the ground up. New outriggers, new bushes, new wishbones etc.
Custom valved coilovers
17/18" wheels with R888 tyres
Complete bare body repaint in original yellow
Custom fitted larger headlights
Custom fitted bonnet vents
All new custom interior in black and yellow with Lotus seats
Custom roll cage
New roof
New carpets

Many other bits too!

No shrinking violet wink

Rear wheels look a size to large for my liking, 17's would suit it better, just my personal taste, but otherwise cloud9

Yeah, I think the wide angle photo exaggerates the size of the rear wheel. This photo is a bit more realistic. But I get what you mean.

The car actually had the inner arches at the front modified to take the larger and wider wheels. It's running 225 at the front and 255 at the back.

As a long time Griffith 500 owner that is stunning and a bit of a bargain as far as what kind of work has gone into creating what is to many the perfect Griffith . I cant think what it must be to drive with all that extra shove so go canny my friend at least till your accustomed to warp drive technology hehe

That is marvellous. My only criticism are the little splitters at either edge of the front bumper. They interrupt the lines of the car a bit too much. But otherwise - cloud9

I would very much like to hear that thing fire up!
