It looks pretty much spot on as it is, some people do go waaaay overboard with the trinkets. I've even seen a few up for sale in a dealer fir £41k in some godawful two tone paint scheme. Just... no!

Decided to tackle the headlining.

Here it is looking grotty.

Got so far through recovering it and it all went tits up so it's now on the bin. I'll have to have another think on that one

You can see what I was going for, it's almost black in shade but holographic in the sun.

After that disaster I turned to what I know and gave the van it's second service. A little early but it brings it into line with the mileage so it's easier to remember every 10k.

That went as planned. Gave it a flush with cheap oil before putting the good stuff in.

And finally it found a friend at work.

Enjoying your journey and the updates.
But when would the headlining ever see the sun? wink

You can always spray the headlining to make it look nicer

How much power do you reckon it has lost over the last 240000

None, if you believe the guess for drag. Even if it's not 100% accurate it looks like it's still running sweet.

After a rolling road session and custom map it's now making a bit more power and torque while improving both curves.

Happily the DPF is still functioning well too, we'll see how long it lasts.

I know, trying to sort it. With my new phone the files are too big so having to use another app to compress them, it's a right faff.

With proper maintenance there is no reason it should lose any power. Same with the DPF, as long as its driven correctly no reason that should fail either. Glad you left it in with a sensible map. Mine (Audi A4) is running a bluefin remap, supposedly up to 207 from 170 with the DPF in place and is perfectly fine!

It was done by Martin at Pendle Performance. They are the go to guys so should be nice and safe, not that I would blame the clutch if it did let go at these miles.

Finally got the roof lining in!.

Abandoned the fir tree clips in the end and screwed it in. The conversion from 2 piece to 1 piece being trickier than I anticipated.

Spots and LED backlighting work with switches accessible from the side and rear doors. The LEDs are not that visible in bright sunlight but on the whole I'm very pleased and it now looks much more finished inside.

Yes it's pretty good. Ride is fine although now slightly on the firm side as it's got 45 profile tyres on it.

The elevated driving position is fun, you sit higher than something like a FFRR for example. It rolls a bit in the corners which can be tamed with H & R antiroll bars and poly bushes.

You can get captain chairs with 2 armrests which gives something to rest your left elbow on.

Now mine has been sound proofed and insulated NVH is comparable to a car. I had no dramas when driving it to the south of France.

Bit more progress today. Finished off the Hook up side of the electrics so now I'm covered for pretty much anything.

The voltage meter seems to be reading low. It doesn't agree with my multimeter so will have to look into that.

12v TV installed.

A couple more pictures of the roof lining, the photos don't really do it justice.

Is that a proper 12v tv? Or a 240v one with an inverter? or a 240v one you have modified? smile

Proper 12v one. Uses about 30w. Aldi do a deal on them at least once a year.
