I got a Spyda fuel gauge wizard for my build; it's pretty clever. My extended Focus sender reads low resistance (19ohms) at empty to about 500 at full, but my Koso gauges are the other way.
On one side you set up your fuel gauge; set a value fuel gauge reads 0, 1/4 full, 1/2, 3/4 and full, plus what to set warning at. Then in a different 'menu' you set how much fuel is in the tank; same deal, 0, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full. So if your fuel tank is irregularly shaped (as mine is) it doesn't matter. I got mine for £30 at Stoneleigh, but they're £44 from his website.

This is it installed, cover off, at the front of my Rocket.

Thanks for that Info.

However I forgot to update this thread, and the problem has now been fully fixed by the guys at Bookatrack who recalibrated the sender, and the whole solution works better now.

I can now get 170 miles on a full to empty indicated tank, so I’m more comfortable with the gauge reading and when it actually is empty.

Hi,

Really like the car.

I'm after a small number plate for my seven style kit - where did you get yours from?

The only people I can seem to find are fourdot.

Cheers

Thanks glad you like Scarlet!

I can’t recall exactly where I go the smaller front plate from, sorry.

It might have been this compnay?

Some of the other 7 owners have also used fourdot as you mention too, nice Plates but quite pricy!

Also sorry to those watching this thread for not updating.

There’s still most of the activities from July, August, September and October to post up on here.

Will try and get around to doing a bit more of the updates later!

Hi Everyone,

So sorry for not providing any updates as I promised back in the summer.

Most of my updates are now on Facebook.

However Scarlet does have her own Instagram page, I do try to post pictures of where we have been on there.

I hope to see some of the Pah crew following our exploits on Instagram!

That’s odd, the hashtag gives it some weird formatting.

Here’s the link to our Instagram page instead.

No problems, I think I have to add updates and pictures from August, September, October, November and Feb.

Due to the horrible weather we Hardly went out in December 17 and January 18!

Some quick updates on what we did last year from August to November.

A few little upgrades and tweaks to Scarlet.

Many many trips to Curborough sprint course.

A track day at Donington.

A Pistonheads SS and Track day to Silverstone.

A trip to Poole for Quay for my Car.

A trip to Bucklers Hard for a lotus seven club day out.

A trip to Prescott Hillclimb for a lotus seven club breakfast meeting.

A trip to the Lincolnshire heritage aviation centre to get Photos with Just Jane the Lancaster bomber.

A trip to Kemble airfield for the AV8 breakfast meeting.

I think that’s all we did in 2017.

I will post pictures as I get time for each of those trips out!

No worries, I’m one of those old farts too!

It’s my two kids who spend forever on Instagram who pushed me to put the page up for my car, I would it have bothered if it was not for them bugging me about it! wink

I like your threads about Caterham ownership.I get a feel for the enjoyment you get from them and an insight to their use and the fun of driving them and showing them.

Ha ha! I’m glad you get the purpose of my posts re the fun of ownership!

It’s an odd thing to be an owner of a Caterham, on one hand they are noisy, cold, uncomfortable, dreadfully impractical and at times frustrating as hell.

And yet, it’s those very tings that make them endearing and a joy to own too.

It’s because they are so far removed from modern day cars, that it’s almost unfair to compare them any modern cars,

They have a tendency to get under your skin too, meaning that you become more connected to them the more things you add or tweak, and the great journies you take together that become memorable adventures shared!

That’s funny too, it seems that a lot of people are turning away from Facebook now, even my kids tell me it’s just a boring old platform for people like me of a certain age!

That's the way it goes I guess, something new takes over. Although for me that's not the case, I've never had it, nor wanted it. Though maybe I'm just weirdbiggrin
