Just realised I totally let the team down on here re posts!

We had a mega busy year in 2018, so many track days and so many miles and places visited too.

Sadly it also coincided with the change of ownership of pistonheads, and sadly it now seems to have completely died under the new owners.

So sorry for no updates here, so very few people ever comment any more, which is a shame,it’s a shadow of its former self.

Honestly can't say I've noticed that, but then I only have very few forums on my visible list (this being one of them).

Just reading this thread with interest Nigel. Its a good reference to see how you are getting on with your 620R.

I'm loving my 620S...……………………………... in the last 500 miles I've bent the rear exit exhaust (the link pipe is far to low) and replaced it with a side exit, blown a lambda sensor and today a centre cap fell out of the wheel for no reason while driving at 60mph! Normal Caterham ownership then!

How are you getting on with yours now? You've this one a long time.

Would you recommend Avon ZZR or ZZS for 90% road use 10% track use and 0% wet use?

That's a shame - this was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Sorry John, but it just proves my point when my last comment on this thread was April and nothing until your post.

So over 6 months and not a single comment!

Time to loose that ugly and heavy rear exit exhaust system.

On with my very nice and light Raceco Titanium silencer.

This from me again! - I really enjoy reading and seeing your pics, hopefully one day (when I am too old to get into a Caterham) I will be able to afford one!

Please keep posting, each post is enjoyed!

They are coming, it just takes time.

Looking at my album for 2018 and 2019 there are 3750 Scarlet related photos! This may take some time!

Thanks, there is myself and peanut! smile

Do you find the ZZR's significantly superior to ZZS? Worth the compromise for wet days though?

Also, do want2race at donnington (old book a track) do servicing still, do you know?

Hi John,

For dry track days you just can’t beat the ZZR’s, but you need to get some heat into them for maximum stickiness!

For most Road use, even when dry we have the ZZs wheels and tyre set on, they are so much safer on the road if it rains, which it seems to do a lot when we set off to track days at Anglesey.

Not sure about Bookatrack still doing Caterham servicing, I’m sure they do, but a lot of the existing staff left when they lost the Caterham dealership and became a Ginetta racing outfit.
