On brakes.. yes, they are'nt great as standard....as per most BMW's of this era! I changed to grooved discs and Brembo pads. Used this company as they were really good value: http://brakedepot.co.uk/ I also changed the fluid at the same time and it was a big improvement all in.
Front and rear package for under £180: http://brakedepot.co.uk/BMW-Z4-3.0-E85-Front-and-R...
Handling wise, the balance is fantastic. Like you say, you sit almost over the rear wheels which means you get such a good feeling for what the car is doing.. i feel like like i can push the car harder than anything else i've driven.. however, the lack of LSD really hinders it and makes controlling oversteer harder work than it should be. The front end needs some grippy tires to get the best out of it. I'm using Ecsta Le Sport KU39 which i've found miles better than the previous Brigestone Potenza's, especially in the wet.

Headlights look like they came out well.
Any tips?
I just used the autoglym headlight kit. £20 and a drill and you are well away... must have taken an hour all in and makes a massive difference.Any tips?
