Daily driver - new to me F10 M5

Yes, interior is a nice place to be...when the bloody air con is working!!! My recent re-gas has failed - off to BMW to be checked and hopefully they will make some sort of contribution / goodwill gesture???? Yes, it's Silverstone, nice as it brightens the interior.
On a more positive note, I reset the trip this morning and headed off to Leeds from Newcastle and back and this was the result...
Wasn't tanking it but just cruised at a normal rate about 70mph (approx....) - quite impressive?

Love it Pete, and yes it does properly shift!
Strange that it's got the 'smokers pack' when it doesn't look like anybody's ever been near it with a cigarette never mind actually smoked in it.
Deleting the smokers' pack deletes the 12V adaptor, cupholder and little cubby hole doesn't it?Strange that it's got the 'smokers pack' when it doesn't look like anybody's ever been near it with a cigarette never mind actually smoked in it.
Think that's why most people leave it in.
ETA: how rude of me. Your car is incredibly gorgeous and I want it, OP.
Enjoy!
Absolutely lovely. I had the chance to drive one of these around the Goodwood circuit a couple of years ago.
For what it is, my god was it quick (if memory serves, from a standing start on the grip, we hit 130 before braking for the first bend) and it totally hid its size through the twisty bits. Handled far better than a family saloon that big had any right to.
As you cam probably tell, I'm a big fan, well done.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, noticed your from Newcastle.
The M5 is a car I have concidered. However having driven an M3 recently the suspension was just to crash/hard even in comfort mode.
What the M5 like?
M5 is totally fine. The M5 is a car I have concidered. However having driven an M3 recently the suspension was just to crash/hard even in comfort mode.
What the M5 like?
It's just the car is more of a 550i than an M5. It's big, heavy and it shows.

In what way? I've never seen an owner say that, but is that how you found it was when you owned one?
Yep, I owned an E92 M3 and an E39 M5.It's just too powerful, too big and too heavy. It's RWD with 550hp which is too much for 2wd only. I really don't rate the car.
