What does £2500 of Rolls Royce look like? Not bad actually..

You need a manifold from one of the Solex carb cars, that has the footprint same as a USA Holley 4 barrel,
I seem to remember an aftermarket Fuel Injection set-up that was a bolt on replacement for a Holley carb (probably on Wheeler Dealers), would that work? Otherwise lots of people make up inlet manifolds to fit bike carbs/throttle bodies to cars couldn't you do the same.I have no real knowledge in this area this this is probably complete nonsense...

probably cheaper and easier just to drop a modern V8 in if you need speed
Trust me, its not. The Roller takes a lot of outputs from the engine such as the high pressure hydraulic system for the brakes and suspension, etc. that makes it hard to replace with anything other than a Roller engine. I went the modern engine route and spent almost 4 years and upwards of £30K to get it working...And, old rollers, unless very heavily modified, don't suit speed. They understeer like crazy, handle like a barge and unless you're going to swap the wheels, there's a very small amount n of additional power you can stick through the tires. The only higher performance wheels you can really swap with are the Bentley Turbo R ones due to the weight of the car plus the weird and wacky bolt pattern.
Been there, done that. Really not worth the trouble. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWFNrXjhx5Y&t=...

There are lots of these kits in the US. Try summit racing: https://www.summitracing.com/I have no real knowledge in this area this this is probably complete nonsense...

Corbin Goodwin was running his Shadow on Porsche Cayenne wheels... not sure if they needed adaptors though. I'm sure enough V8 grunt could soon neutralise the understeer...
Cayenne wheels may work from a weight point of view but I doubt the bolt pattern would match. I searched long and hard for a suitable match and was told by various suppliers that my only option was Rolls/Bentley or to have bespoke wheels which at over £2K per corner was out of my budget. You can have an adapter made but again, be wary of the weight issue. The LS3 6.2 I put in mine has 430HP. More power makes power oversteer possible but the understeer is due to mass and lack of front end grip. Not much you can do about that other than stiffer suspension (not easy on a shadow) and wider tires. I'm not saying that it can't be done but its expensive to basically convert a shadow into a high end sports Bentley turbo R.

It made it to Silverstone on thursday, have had a cracking time so far! It looks a bit out of place on the campsite though I have to say!
Grrr, can't upload pics from my phone, file size too large. I'll do it when home!
I would have thought a Rolls Royce on a campsite would look great! Grrr, can't upload pics from my phone, file size too large. I'll do it when home!

Holly do a range of "self learning" EFI systems that fit on the original Holly footprint. Not idea if they're any good though!https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_...

I love that. You are making my want for an old Rolls Royce much greater - and yes, I know you have offered yours for sale and yes, its worth about the same as my Skoda and I don't like my Skoda that much anymore... but... I just can't right now
How about now? In all seriousness I'm actually looking to sell this Rolls Royce now. I currently have 14 cars and am lacking in space somewhat and as the Rolls takes up at least 2 spaces in my workshop it's got to go!
I'd like to acheive a price close to what it owes me (see previous posts) but will listen to offers below that.
Condition wise, little has happened since the last update - it was parked outside for a few months before I got my new workshop so the rust on the front wings (under headlights and near side repeater) has got a little worse but not horrendous. It has been dry stored in my unit for the last 18 months, I use it occasionally. It will be mot and tax exempt from next year. (Happy to get it MOT'd before sale) It runs and drives but does have a few 'seeping' leaks of various colours!!
If you are interested but want it mechanically sound then drop me a message and we can work something out as I'm more then happy to get the leaks seen to before it goes etc.
I'd love to see it go to someone who will do similar to me and just run it around whilst tinkering, it's been an amazing machine for us and has been great fun on a few noteable trips we've done like Silverstone classic, a couple of trips into London and as a comfy ride home after (successful) IVF treatment.
I'll be sad to see it go and i've tried to convince myself to get rid of some of the other cars instead, but the reality is that this is the next one that needs to go
Drop me a pm if you are interested, I've not advertised it anywhere else as yet.

Ah that's very decent of you to remember me but no, sadly I'm not in the position to go ahead with this, as awesome as it would be to turn up in the office car park in this. Good to know it is suitable transport with babies and children, I have moved away from an Isofix car seat for our daughter so just use the 3 belt.
