Good god that looks mint! That drivers seat is quite remarkable for the mileage. If you decide to sell, please pm me!!
Thank you, I was also impressed with the leather condition. You will be waiting some years before we think about selling though Buff Mchugelarge said:

Wow, looks stunning. The steering wheel (which is also a very late one!) is mint too!
Thank you, it has been cared for. It's just had the airbag recall for the driver airbag so the centre of the wheel is unmarked too .PowerslideSWE said:
Oh that is just lovely. I've had 2 530 M-Sports and they are just fab. Good luck with it.
Thank you, the E39 shape has grown on me hugely as it's aged.RDMcG said:
Really nice. I had three E39s and they were all wonderful cars.
Thank you, I've been very impressed with the car so far.Mr Tidy said:

What a car, probably the last drivers 5 Series. How much was it if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks, for it's age it drives and rides really well in fact I was surprised how smooth it is. If I told you I'd have to kill you all I'll say is it was a great price and there's lots out there that are being advertised for a lot more .Thanks for all the great replies, pictures always make a car look better than they are in person though but it is very good for its age.
In reply to the cooling/rust issues this car is pretty good. The radiator is like new although the thermostat housing has a slight leak. I've had a look underneath in person and it's extremely clean. The brake pipes are in very good order and there is no rust to the body that is notable either , I'm still surprised how good it is underneath for its age

wow very nice OP! M paras and manual gearbox too! They are very nice cars to drive, especially with the manual. My SE is a bit softer but still a joy to drive. Thermostat is a piece of piss to do (if you choose to do it yourself), once you've got the viscous fan and the sodding shroud off! Oh and it's lovely and simple to bleed!
I'm guessing 97 refers to your birth year? If so I can understand the insurance costs! For sts and giggles our office junior (born 98) got an insurance quote on mine which, even though it's "old man spec", was £2500!!
Would that be the late Aegean blue edition?
