Amazingly tunable these cars. The MK7 Fiesta ST is one of the best cars i've ever driven. It just felt right, both when pootling along at slow speeds and even better when stretching it's legs right out. I had to restrain myself from ordering one there and then when i got back!
For me though, i wouldn't personally go all-out on one. I've not got a problem with others that do, it just shows that these can become proper giant-slayers with the right mods. When i drove one, i didn't feel that it needed any more power. It would be the MP215 kit for me and that's it.
Car looks great, regardless. You'll really shock some much faster metal no doubt with that kit!
TBF I would agree with you and say out of the box it is quick enough and with MP-215 would be a great little car .For me though, i wouldn't personally go all-out on one. I just wanted my one to have a little bit more as I think the chassis can handle it .

As these have a torque limiter at 180, how likely is it to st the bed with a 300 map and the limiter off
Nice looking motor
Collins Performance ran there CP4 320 + for 50000 miles with out any problems .Nice looking motor

In the USA 360-380 on stock internals has been fine .

OP: handling must be fun with 300 gee-gees!
My standard ST will always light up the traction control lights when it's booted, and it's standard.
Having had an S-Max 2.5T with 365bhp, I gave up funding the local tyre places a few years ago
TBH the map is so smooth that it really can put the power down very well with good tyres on it .My standard ST will always light up the traction control lights when it's booted, and it's standard.

There are so many spikeeee torque maps that look good on paper but do not drive well on the road .

Love these cars and should have done something like you've done to yours instead of changing. My Golf R is a great car, but just isn't as fun and too grown up. Had some great drives in Wales.
Any more plans with yours?
I have been thinking about making the same change.Any more plans with yours?
The Fiesta is prone to stone chips ive seen, mines got loads. Is the paint a lot better on the R?
MP-215 or CP2 would be a grate choice but even stock the car is good fun ( but with 310 BHP its even more fun )

Bet that's a hoot! I like the way you've kept it standard looking too.
I've a standard 180 and keep thinking I should get the mp215 on it but in the back of my head there's the feeling it would only be the start of a slippery slope like yours seems to have been

The total cost was less than £ 3000 for this little lot so I think that is a good price for a car that can keep pace with a new BMW M4 .

How do you find the R mate? I came very close to ordering one instead but with a little one on the way at the time I went with the cheaper option. However had the 5 door version not been available I would of probably ordered the R. Any more plans with yours?

My "new car" list has gone round and round the houses these past few weeks....
ST was originally on it, because why not. But then I thought its perhaps a bit too focused on the B-road blasting to be used for other duties like touring europe. So then that moved on to a 208GTi which from reading is nicer inside, nicer to cruise in, not quite so nice to drive. Then I decided these things bit too run of the mill.... cue looking at RCZs, and 595 Turismos. Then I catch wind of coking problems on DI petrol engines so swung back to some older school metal, Focus ST MK2 and Volvo C30 T5. All the while I secretly would like an MX-5 but I am too tall for it to be a comfortable daily prospect.... and then I come in here and see a lovely blue ST and I am back to square one again.
This is why my current car is 11 years old. I cannot bloody decide!
Awesome car by the way OP. Bet that is a complete riot with 300 ponies!
Can someone just tell me what these things are like, stock on normal roads.... is it as harsh and bouncy as all the reviews make out? I have driven one, though it was only a short drive and on decent roads. You don't really get time to notice harsh ride when your first port of call is seeing how fast it goes hahaha.
