Different car!
That's the one that I spotted last winter in Al Quoz. Nice looking car. (Although don't think tints suit a classic at all)
looks pretty good. ironically its original colour is my number 1 choice for this model (Acapulco blue)...alas too many projects...not enough time..That's the one that I spotted last winter in Al Quoz. Nice looking car. (Although don't think tints suit a classic at all)

Just a quick update to then.
The car is back in my hands, and I'm happy to say it's running beautifully - strong power and no running hot or fuelling issues any more.
I went for a days driving both in the city and out on a couple of roads towards the desert with a few friends the other day.
It's pretty rare to see a classic on the roads out here, and it seems to be getting a lot of positive attention which is nice.
It's just headed back in to have a redesign of the AC belt pulley system, so should have it back on the road this evening with any luck.
Next on the list is EFI. I'm about to pull the trigger on the new Holley Sniper EFI. It's a great system that retains the look of the big carb, meaning I can keep the pancake style air filter.
It controls the timing as well as self tuning for optimal running.
I've also got plenty of parts in the spare room to bolt on, including those Wilwood brakes,so that'll come soon too.
