Fiat Panda 100hp (again)
Discussion
You'll not remove the standard gear knob without destroying it unfortunately.
I've kept an eye on what's for sale since selling this car, with a view to buying another if the right car came along.
All that's done is made me realise that for the money what a peach this one was.
Sure, if you spend almost twice what I sold this one for you might get one with lower mileage, and maybe even a fraction better cosmetically, but I've not seen anything for sale with as good a service history with evidence of proper maintenance.
I hope it serves Mr S100HP well, and if he ever decides to,sell I can personally vouch that this little car is an uptogether, honest little thing.

New knob fitted
Decided to go with it rather than swap for the 100HP after reading the previous post. Here is a link if you'd like to order one

Mine was £1000 with 41,000 miles and relatively good condition.I've kept an eye on what's for sale since selling this car, with a view to buying another if the right car came along.

Granted it was a Cat C write-off but for stupid reasons. The previous owner drove over a large rock in the road. It bent the flange on the cat, snapped an O2 sensor and caught the lip of the engine stabiliser bracket on the subframe. Insurance wrote it off because they wanted to replace the entire subframe to fix the 'damage', which was two popped spot welds on the front of the bracket. I just tapped it back into place and mig welded the spot welds. One new cat and O2 sensor later, and it was all fixed.

Granted, but it was still a Cat C and thus worth less in the market place. Bonus when you bought it, perhaps less so when you sold it.Granted it was a Cat C write-off but for stupid reasons. Okay, when you sell it.
My point being is that the majority of the market for these cars seems to be in the 1700-2700 price range.
At that price point, owners can often not look after cars properly, and a lot of the cars for sale, actually the majority that I've seen, have had very patchy histories.
The OP's has as full and complete a history as you could resonably expect for a car of this type. It's a good un' IMO.

True, my car only has documented service history very early on, because the previous owner was a Fiat enthusiast who does his own servicing, as do I. So there's no official documentation regarding the cambelt, tensioner and water pump change I did when I got it, or the oil and filter changes I perform every 5000 miles. My point being is that the majority of the market for these cars seems to be in the 1700-2700 price range.

Nothing drastic to report in panda land, except it's dirty again. Its also just rescued a Rover from the back of a garage where it has resided for the last 6 or 7 years. Chucking it (the Rover) in for an MOT next week.
Panda is still a hoot to drive. Dispatched two cars in one move this morning along a country road

Sick Panda alert. Having been used to jump the Rover for the second time in a week, the battery decided to give up shortly afterwards.
Shockingly a new battery was £56 from a local motor factor. Felt expensive but I looked around and it seemed about right.
Took all of 5 mins to fit today and we're up and running again. It's a tiny battery, no wonder it gave up, especially as it looks like it might have been the original!
Once again working on getting it filthy. Have also treated it to a straight through Ragazzon centre section which when mixed with the original back box should be interesting. Not sure if I'll like it, but no harm if not, I'll just sell it on. Should sound similar to this

I have the full Ragazzon on mine and I love it. I don't think it's antisocially loud and gives a great deep tone for a 1.4.
I had the full system fitted to my one as well, though I did tear a hole in the centre section scraping it off a speed bump going in and out of work. The lowered suspension (Koni shocks and Eibach springs, further 25mm lower than standard) didn't help I must admit! Sounded brilliant though, gave it a nice wee edge to itIt's best angle I always thought
