OP, I join the band of, if you like it, good on you. End of the day, if this is the kind of mods you like, and more importantly, makes you part of a "group", I'm glad for you.
I'm old by your definition, being your dad age, but I think it is a different mentality, when it comes to cars the end goal for me is an adrenaline rush, hence I have and have had several Lotus and Caterham nad the most of the money went into engines, track days etc.
I attend car meetings, and not track shows. Horses for courses.
I don't understand the hate, I can just say this is not my cup of tea, but it is a good execution and...it is yours. Just one thing, do not resource to call people names...there is, equally, no need for it.

You also don't have to force the fact you don't like something either though, ever considered that for just a second? Thought not.
ive been here a while i don't think i have ever forced my opinion on someone, i just stay true to my values. when the op started whining i had to say something to balance it out.if every post on here was, 'wow thats awesome, yeh you have nailed, sick, well cool, rad, you murdered that'. etc then it would be a boring place.
the op will carry on doing what he wants whatever i or anyone else say.

If I'm boring because I appreciate cars that have actually been improved through modifications, then yes, I'm boring as fk.L3WUP said:

You clearly came on here looking for attention (your whole tone says "look at my car everyone, I don't care what you think"). You're getting it.If it's not the attention you wanted, Edition38 is probably the place for you...
FWIW, I think your car is different in a good way. I wouldn't do that, but I can respect someone building a car the way they want it. It's just the attention-whoring that I object to.

What is it with people looking through and feeling the need to say "Sorry OP but it looks st"
If you don't like it fine, but I was brought up having been taught that if you don't have anything nice to say, then say nothing.. Yep, this one was always going to divide opinion, (I happen to quite like it) and fair enough, the OP has posted up pics of his car to be looked at and invited comment, which some have - all good
What I don't get is people who log in, comment to say they don't like it, and then keep coming bag to just have another dig at the OP - Surely if you've looked, don't like and said you don't like, just don't click back into the thread?? Also remember, opinions are like aholes - Everyone has one, but not all of them are good.
Or am I missing something...

You all say it drives worse it drives the exact same as standard. There's hardly any camber at all
How does it handle speed-humps? Do you have to slow much from 30 to avoid rubbing? That would do my head in, but I still like the idea of the VW scene, I just couldn't participate in it. sleepera6 said:
Your dad's is stunning.
Are you going to swap the parts over to an Up GTi when it comes out?
I think a tartan interior would suit this. But make the wheels white again and use a teeny bit more camber.
Looks nice.
Have you seen dele's R32 as inspiration?
Thanks. Im really not fussed on the facelift up at allAre you going to swap the parts over to an Up GTi when it comes out?
