Good effort, glad to see you’re keeping at it; these cars are quite rare now.
Thank you

First off, great work - car looks fantastic!

I've never seen one of these different front ends - can you tell me more about it?

Great work on that! Cool looking car. bandit

I’ve fond memories of mk4 Cortinas. My mum had a 2.3 Ghia for years when I was a kid. White with a black vinyl roof. It sounded lovely.

Anyway, nice job. thumbup

I had Dad's one of these (not convertible, mind) to take to Uni in the 80s, same colour. I have to say that in the first pics the body styling has aged very well - there's some very deft subtle lines there. Love it.
BUT its a car that's easily spoiled with the 'wrong' wheels - can't explain it, but you know when u see it. Sitting low on those old chrome-minilite-style wheels is doing the car a lot of favours. Good on ya.

Ripspeed back in the 80’s in Edmonton well known did these quad headlamp one piece grilles cost of it was £120

Now the company known as R-Tec in St Albans

I sold the quad headlight conversion and fitted original lights and grille.

I grew up around all these classic cars 2.3 was the top one to have. That’s really nice that must bring back so many memories.

👍

Still need to fit the chrome body mouldings along the doors once it’s had a good polish,

It had the chrome cyclone wheels on it for over 30 years and I sold them around 10 years ago as they were pitted in the middle
And would cost a lot to have them re-chromed.

Only until a few months ago I found a pretty good set just need to fit 205/60/13 tyres all round
