No. There's not enough red elsewhere on the car to make it work.

I like that; think the wheels suit the car; makes it stand out cool

For the wheels, what about the blue that appears in both the Elf and Mobil emblems?

It will be either white or yellow..

Have plenty of time to decide as, although officially retired, I'm doing 3 weeks work for a mate on the Cricket World Cup so won't be collecting the wheels until 20th June onwards.

Well trying to find a place to paint mag alloy wheels isn't as easy as it might sound!

Ended up with a place in Yorkshire who specialises in them, Ian Jemison Engineering. Not a bad price either, strip the wheels, crack test, powder coat all for £60 + VAT a wheel.

These aren't my wheels but this is the yellow they'll be......and my tyres have arrived biggrin...should grip like a leech with these on.

Cup2's aren't available in reqd sizes so plumped for Yokohama AO52's.

Regardless of me preferring white, I think it will look mega with that yellow.

Well, that's the 3 weeks work all done.....1 hour was all it took to remind me why I walked away from it all biggrin

Now it's back to the car madness!

Wheels will be collected Monday and taken in for painting, if all goes to plan all works will be carried out next weekend.

I'd like to say that it will all be finished then however, experience says they're never finished.

OP - have you driven it over to France yet?

I'd imagine you would receive some reasonably decent attention

Went down to Italy in it last year.

Got a silly amount of attention more or less everywhere.....and that was before it had the wrap / decals done.
