Wasn't expecting to see that when I clicked on the thread! I'll certainly miss reading about all of your work on it and seeing it on IG. Can't wait to see what comes next, though. thumbup

Great thread.
It always helps when selling if it goes to a nice person.
Looking forward to your next project.

Yipee one of my favourite cars on PH coming out of winter hibernation, oh no wait, what happened, its gone!

What a journey; there are times I’ve questioned the proposed mods, just in my own head, but each time you’ve nailed them. But how far can you go, would it just be a never heading quest, what you built was an outstanding testament to your abilities, that fact that you took the time out to share with us, is something, I’m very grateful for.

Whatever plans you have for the future, I hope they work out well for you and yours.

Damn that's wild, can't believe the '02 has gone! eek

Fair play though Scott, can appreciate where you'd got to with it, and the reasons for moving it on. It'll be a shame not to see your updates on it, but thanks for all the 'build posts' and keeping this thread updated with all the various modifications you've carried out! Hopefully the new owner gets as much enjoyment from the car as you've had, and I look forward to seeing what you decide to fill that nice BMW-sized hole you've now got in the garage with wink

As we've spoken about on multiple occasions Scott your car was a huge inspiration for mine, and you helped me with countless advice over the years when building mine!

Thank you so much for all the support - sad to see your car go!

Gutted we never got to meet in the cars like we planned but I'm sure we will one day, in whatever is coming next..!

I was up in Teesdale the other day and wondered when I'd next see a little silver 2002 - clearly I won't anymore.

Thanks for an entertaining and inspirational thread and best of luck with the next project;we'll all be watching with interest.
Sadly not although i'll still be out driving in that area as much as possible, love it!

Thanks for the kind words!

What a great thread, and so pleased the car has passed to an other enthusiast owner.

Top work. The thread needs to be continued with the replacement car though !
Thanks Andy, we'll have to get out this year! I'll start a new one for sure.

Sad to see this come to an end but thank you for taking us on the journey with you Scott! Only fitting to re-share this once more I think biggrin

Cheers BH, you're right there. If he wasnt such a great chap then i'd still have hold of the car, thats for sure!

Cheers Tom!

I love the Caravelle, i had plans of grandeur, towing the 2002 over to the 'ring and staying over in it. Probably for the best i never tried that though biglaugh

It did start off being a pain but it turns out the previous owner mustnt have ever got it hot enough to regen or to get it on boost. It got a good old Italian tune up with a load of cleaners in it and its been a trooper ever since! 2010, so pre adblue, fingers crossed its fine from here on in!

Technically it did come out for one last drive... sorry to disappoint on the rest! Thank You for the kind words, they mean a lot. I often questioned myself and i'd managed to hold myself back the last year or 2 instead of getting carried away and potentially ruining the road-a-bility of it.

Thanks again!

Cheers matey, he's been emailing quite a lot and he's as excited with the car as i ever was, so its definitely gone to the right home! It wont be empty for long, i can assure you. I am my own worst enemy!

Thanks matey, you're welcome, its been a hugh learning journey for me and i've been happy to share opinions and knowledge along the way. It's generally a nice circle of people with these cars and i've leaned on others in a similar way in the past!

The car is probably now closer to you at least and there might be a larger chance of that happening haha

This has been a fantastic thread to revisit and whilst sad to see you have sold it it does seem like absolutely the best decision for you at this time. The great thing about this is all the fantastic writing and photos that you have documented, something to hold on to and show your kid one day when he's older and begins to realise just how bloody cool his old man is. Look forward to following your next project!
