Hate the blacked out badges, not sure I'll ever understand why people think an ugly black blob on the car looks better than standard ones.

But... I love everything else about it and as a VRs owner this car is genuinely a dream car of sorts. The sleeper aspect is great and I think it's a really handsome car in the first place. Must be great fun to drive.
Well, for one with the standard badge everywhere was asking me what model my Vauxhall is... smile Also I blackened all chrome bits on the car so the badges were the last piece to be done to match. These are actually sold in black from a Skoda parts retailer, I did not blacken them myself.

Tremendous fun! Surprisingly well behaved for a car of this size and power.

Santa Pod - Superb Stage 3 - 11.7 sec @ 121.74mph with a, very slow, 2 sec 60ft

With a good launch this had the potential of an 11.1-11.2 seconds run
Time for better dragstrip tyres next year !

Love your car!

I've got an E Class estate and my FIL has a Superb estate and the difference in rear leg room is huge. In fact it's vast inside.

His is the Laurent Whatitsname one and has tons of kit - only thing that lets it down is the nasty 4 pot diesel.

Didn't know you could get it with a 280 petrol.....and tune it.

Excellent!

Top sleeper.
Mine is also an L&K, all extras including digital TV!
And according to the badge, also a diesel wink

Christmas update! I got the car back a couple of days ago with the new turbo installed. Due to the holidays the map is not completed so only running 1.7 bar (with over 2.2 to come). Even with low boost the car feels great and turbo spools from lower rpm as expected and is very smooth. The APR dsg map that I also just installed is great and gives me adjustable rpms for launch control and allows fully manual operation in M mode without changing up automatically while in gears 2 to 5 and also not kicking down automatically either.

How much power are you expecting from the new turbo? Sounds epic.
Not sure to be honest, anything over 550hp at a reasonable boost and fast spool I will be very happy with. Drivability and reliability are what I want now until drag racing season starts at least smile

Jb4 was not controlling petrol fuelling, just water meth injection. Will go for a dedicated water meth controller in the new year when mapping is finished.

Map has been tweaked with the Turbo Technics V4 and is now running at 2.3 bar.

Battery has been replaced with an even larger one (Duracell 80ah, 800amps) and the battery tray modified accordingly, tight fit!

JB4 removed and a dedicated water meth controller installed with digital controls/boost gauge.

Next step possibly a v5 or v6.
