Yes plumb the boost gauge in first it is pointless troubleshooting without actually knowing the boost, and you have to drive it, cab't get it parked up. Physical check all pipes with hands for cracks, i best any issues will be vac pipes not boost. 1.8t is pretty easy to work on.

I think a couple of the hoses under the inlet may be a bit crispy lol going to plumb my boost gauge in tomorrow the jobs are mounting up

Every now and then it goes into a bit of a limp mode but after about 10 seconds it comes back got a new n75 valve to fit

without the boost gauge working it is very difficult to work out.

it you get a turbo ive got a gasket kit i bought but never used you can have for free just donate to charity.

i bought 2 ages ago, for some reason, i don't own a vag car now but i was looking to get another 1.8t quattro and did a turbo swap but they are stupid money and rarer now. the quattro really is worth the difference over the 1.8t, different rear suspension set up, get drive, but the 1.8t fwd is good just for a blast. ive owned both, biggest regret was selling my 1.8t quattro.

I bet I've had many 1.8t not looking for massive power about 250bhp being only a fronty any more a the torque steer would be crazy so your missing the 1.8t life

Got my front mount intercooler yesterday just need to fit it think I am going to leave all the engine mods till after X'mas now once days are a bit longer and weather a bit warmer once I finish work don't have much light

Am after some new rims currently have these on the avant want something different has anyone got any suggestions what looks good cheers

Haven't been on here for a while just thought I would do a bit of a update have just brought some new rims only test fitted them also brought some new bushes for the rear suspension
Have also started sorting out the audio side of thing next week I am going to hook up the sub and amps and some new tweeters

Need to put some spaces on the rear then start sorting out the audio subs and amps I think the kw coilovers are going on first once this bloody weather gets better
