It looks stunning, have you been brave enough for a pootle?
Love the fact that you're selling a non rusty rust coloured Lancia and have bought a rusty non rust coloured Lancia, genius biggrin
This is indeed a fine part of the scheme. The Beta may be around a while longer as it is my main car at the moment (I make any excuse possible not to drive my fast, safe, reliable, relatively energy efficient, comfortable and very well equipped modern car -it's great, but, mehhhhhh). The non-Flavia Flavia will take a bit of bringing up to spec, mainly because of crustulations on one side. The nearside is mostly fine, the offside is flaky, although only mega flaky in one place. The roof and bonnet and doors and what not are looking pretty OK although not flawless.

Also I am on my third attempt to get the DVLA form right and get the Beta back onto its UK T plates (this will probably help it to sell, and there is a slight chance that I may be able to sell the old IOM plate to a Manx resident).

Pootle? I did, but gingerish because of squishy brakes (same as on the pre purchase solo test drive last week). Seems promising.

It’s very nice, ideal for summer runs to the pub.

It’s in good shape, new hi-torque starter motor fitted last week.
Not sure about this but I’ve plunged and booked to fit 4 new tyres on the original wheels next week....originals back on the car after 39 years.
I am apprehensive.
Thanks for asking !

I highly recommend the Amethyst digital ignition voodoo. The Beta is flying. That 1970 Porsche 911 going up that hill yesterday might have wondered what the bronze coloured blur whizzing past might be. The only 1970s car with a 1.6 engine that I have driven which was quicker was a Lotus Elan Plus Two with a big valve Lotus/Ford 1.6 twin cam and two fat Dellortos.

I will probably still have to sell the car to free up space and money for my latest Lancia purchase, but I will have fun with the Beta first.
