I have never understood how you can get wifi in a vehicle! Do you pay monthly contract? How does it work for simpletons like me

I'm guessing it'll have a SIM card and the wi-fi is just the way you connect within the vehicle?

It's just a one off fee for the modem, SIM and data allowance. I am guessing the data will expire after a year or 6 months but had no idea how much data I'd need so went for 6Gb as it wasn't particularly expensive. The modem just broadcasts a WiFi network in the same way your mobile can broadcast a hotspot.
