Delete the badges, strip the window tints and fit concealed exhaust outlets and you have the perfect all purpose car.
I keep flipping between wanting to remove the badges and keeping them. I occasionally also fancy fitting 2.0tdi badges at the rear 😂

I’ve never been a fan of dark tints, but since having it the baby seems to sleep for longer on journeys so they will stay for now (plus I don’t know if it Is something I can just peel off like aftermarket tint?)

Just dropping in to say I admire your testicular fortitude! Sounds like an absolute crapload of car for the money, love it.

Properly stupid amount of motor for the money. I'd take the badges off, fit a roof box, one of those terrible stick family stickers for the rear window and hide the exhaust tips.

You, sir, have danglers made of granite. Fair play.

Rear tints make family life with young children much easier. They might look a bit drug dealer, but they help the kids sleep and stop them complaining about feeling hot in the summer.

As said Adam, nice car. Needs some pipes to make the most of that V10 though!

We will have to meet up at some point and compare the motors!

If you live in Reading and ever need anything doing to it, talk to Tim at the Phirm. He's a proper enthusiast and his work is exceptional

Absolutely ace.

Regarding the noise, or lack of, speak to this chap:

He did my E90 M3 and made it sound fking brilliant. He'll come to your house for a very reasonable fee (i think I paid something like £240, and that included him travelling a bloody long way). Lots of people in the M3 community use him but he'll tackle anything.

I got to as far as describing a car as 'she'. Pet hate, couldn't read anymore!

Probably says more about you than the OP.

Awesome! Always fancied an S6 as a weekend family car - be it the V8 or V10 but they never came with the 3rd row boot seats that I'd occasionally need! frown

Its worse than that as the middle of the rear seats is a mighty uncomfortable place to sit.

Congrats OP; I ran my S6 for around 6 years and barring a few niggles such as a failing battery making the electrics have a head fit and an new oil separating valve the only real expense (excluding fuel) was front brakes and tyres.

Always considered one of these and they seem fantastic value these days - but it always sticks in my head that the ride comfort and the suspension was heavily criticized by journalists when new. You've already said the ride is a bit harsh on rough roads, will follow this thread to see how you find it over time!

Heroic way to fulfill the family car needs whilst still retaining that perfect blend of being nigh on invisible and yet properly quick.

I did similar and whilst I looked at these, my bank balance and testicles weren't big enough.
Great car. Didn't realise they were V10's. Wow.

I may end up going Audi for my next one, whenever that is, as MB UK have pretty much stopped importing anything petrol that size that's not either a 2 litre gasper or a 550 bhp AMG.

Very happy in my current debadged 5.5 E Class estate. But good to know for the future that Audi UK persevere with V10's V8s and TT V6's.

Nice car, but at your mileage I'd seriously recommend getting the carbon clean, flaps delete and remap.

My S8 went in with 74K and made 360bhp on the dyno, clean, flaps and remap later... 480bhp on the dyno - graphs and photos on my thread.

If you scour eBay, second hand miltek non-red systems come up for £500 occasionally, sounds sexy as hell

The difference is night and day, and well with the outlay believe me. Economy is also better by 2mpg as well

Do you mind me asking where you had the work done and the cost? I planned to get the gearbox serviced then to look at the carbon clean
