Lewis, only fair that I keep an eye on the TVR and stretch its legs once in a while for you?

Good luck with your travels.

I love this!

My mum used to have a old Janspeed Turbo Range Rover when I was a small lad, I will never forget the V8 rumble, smell of un-burnt fuel and cloud of black smoke upon hard acceleration smile

The cat and turbo photo wins it for me.

Also interested in those jacks/stands of yours?

That's a fair point, the cat does look a little surprised about what is going on. I think the thought is: TVR + turbo = dead provider of food, st!

It was at this point the cat realised boost was inevitable.

Thanks for the nice comments guys thumbup

For those who asked the ramps are from ebay. Around £400 a pair so not a cheap solution but great if you dont have a proper garage like me.

just read this, again, made me smile and start thinking of spending money in my head.

Just wondered how this car is going 1 year on?

Quite a thread resurrection biggrin

The car is still tucked up in the garage as I am about to go to Australia (in 2 weeks) for the best part of a year. I have a few plans in mind for it when i get back though, which will definitely include getting it on a dyno and find out exactly what its making! I also have my eye on some taller rear diff gears to make first gear a bit more usable hehe

For anyone that cares what i have been up to in the time away i have some threads in the Biker Banter forum, which include riding the length of Vietnam on a Chinese built 125cc scooter and a ride to the Arctic Circle on my Royal Enfield.

In between these trips I have also been to Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and North Korea. I have a working holiday Visa for Australia so hope to top my savings up a bit there!

Expect to see some recommissioning updates next August or September wink

Im back! evil

A few updates, main ones being that the car is MOT'd and back on the road, is booked in for some further mapping on Friday and on the 11th May its going for its first ever power run at Surrey rolling road. Will be interesting to finally see what it is making!

Last week I also made some breather modifications to help stop a few oil leaks its developed, and I have some 16" wheels coming to fit drag radials too.

This year I am hoping to get into the 11 second 1/4 mile bracket

I cant see a dump valve in your plumbing. That chrip/flutter when you change gear is the reversion of the charge back through the turbo which slows it down which is the reason you have a dump valve (to provide a path for excess pressure to escape when the throttle snaps shut)
It's not the sound of the wastegate as some people think as that only opens on boost to control boost.

Cant remember the name but they were from ebay. Very handy but super heavy if you need to lug them about
