Any photos? I need to do my wheels but considering painting the diamond cut wheels.
Mine were originally diamond cut and had them refurbed before I collected the car from the dealer

Any C63 owners who used to be C32 AMG or C55 AMG owners. How do they compare?

The guy I bought my first c63 had a c32 and I think you can safely say the c63 blows it away in all aspects.

I did enjoy a drive in a C32 AMG (that was more E46 M3 competitor level so 12 seconds to 100mph vs the C63 which is what 8.5 seconds!

Great thread, I really like these and particularly in estate guise - OP you pulled a blinder to find a white one!

I am currently ‘shopping’ and was planning on an E92 M3, man, saloon which will sit on the drive for the most part whilst I commute to work in my shed.

However the added practicality of the estate is a massive plus point (7yr old, dog etc) and THAT engine - not sure my neighbours would agree on cold start mind.......

Hmmm certainly food for thought, any update OP on yours???

Also did anyone come from or compare C63 to E92??

Just sold mine a week ago after 5.5yrs happy ownership (C63 estate with AMG performance pack plus).

I couldn't ever find anything that I wanted to change it for, but now the kids are older I have gone for something less practical (Maserati Granturismo).

I've got no financial interest in the car as I sold it to the trader but if anyone ones a nice example, it is for sale here: https://www.dtperformancecars.co.uk/used-mercedes-...

A former PH'er, I follow him on Instagram. Dan Tranter, did well with his own fishing tackle business when he was young, and was in an E60 M5 and iirc a 911 Turbo very early on in his driving career.

I think he sacked PH off thanks to all the general predictable rubbish about how it clearly wasn't his money etc, or the cars weren't his, which was a shame as I enjoyed his threads.

For what it's worth, he was very straight forward to deal with when I sold to him - offered a price based on my advert, paid a deposit subject to seeing the car, I dropped it off to him and they balance paid there and then by bank transfer, took me back to pick up my hire car and overall the deal was done in a hassle free manner.

Their premises are tucked away, but a nice facility and some nice stock (Mclarens, M5's, 911's, some AMG's) and all very well presented. Have to say I think that the way he has presented my car in the adverts plus offering warranty / finance will mean that he gets for it what it is worth as a very well looked after and original C63 estate with PPP should do.

One question

Why is the C63 wagon called the Hammer yet the E63 Wagon isnt/doesn’t have any legendary name.

I saw a C63 grey wagon recently on the A34 looked very discreet but he had to accelerate to join from the sliproad - boy did it shift.

How big is the boot on the C class estate? It is one German Shepherd plus one smaller GSD cross big?

It’s not adequate to take those.

A close family member has a mundane C class estate. You’d need the E class E63 (which has more power than even the “507” as standard.

Hi website and presentation looks excellent, out of interest it seems quite late to be pre-fl, when exactly was the change was it ‘11 or ‘12?

Yes, it was a late pre-facelift, early 2011 and I think they changed on the '61 plate. I prefer the look of pre-facelift exterior - it looks somehow more muscular and bonnet bulges are a bit more pronounced. The interior in the facelift is where it is improved, plus the newer gearbox but having said that I was quite happy with the box on this one, it was plenty quick enough to change up/down when in 'M' mode for me.

The engine number on mine was well clear of the head bolts issue that some earlier engines on pre-facelifts suffered from.

I think I agree with you regarding the shape, I also learnt the FL suffers more with ‘rattles’ which would be a right PITA outside warranty!

Do you happen to know the engine number parameters for the head bolts?

I read a comment from another PHer on someone’s buying advice thread who was looking at a 60k example that if they were going to cause a problem it would be well before 60k - not sure if this is correct or urban myth?

Line up at chateau number 1

C63 being used for what it’s best at - food and drink for 15 lads

At the next chateau - amazing place !

An action shot from the trip !

Back home, next errand - getting the exhausts for my z3m coupe modified!

Obligatory PH sticker !

What’s next? Tempted by a new c63s or an M6 gran coupe.......

I somehow missed this thread so have just had a good read.

What an epic car - I’m not a MB fan, but this ticks so many boxes. Practical, under the radar looks, much nicer proportioned than the saloon version and that engine is sublime. I’m betting you’ll miss it even if you do plump for the latest version, which in all respects ought to be better I suppose, although I suspect only marginally given the all-round capability of your existing one.

Look forward to further updates smile
