My LFA is finally ready.
Discussion
Just wandered into this thread thinking it was another "Oh look I've got a new car" thread. Turned out to be one of the best most heart warming reads I've had in a long time. Hats off to you Op for been such a decent bloke. Sent you a follow request on instagram (James1433). Hope you enjoy your collection in good health and keep up the good work.

Awesome cars and some really inspirational stuff from you. My wife's father was a car nut and unfortunately succumbed to a brain tumour which came on suddenly a few years ago, tough indiscriminate illness I'm sure the diagnosis took its toll on your family.
If you are ever in Belfast and fancy a razz in a v8 armoured landrover give me a shout!

Are you the same chap that bought the 250 to restore?
I am indeed, I was restoring it to raffle away to help kids with cancer but unfortunately I developed a brain tumour that halted me in my tracks. I stored it away and due to my memory I can’t actually remember where it is. I’m sure I’ll remember one day but for now it’s all a blur. I’ve still kept up my commitment with helping children with cancer and thanks to one of the Neville brothers (can’t remember which one as I’m not big into football) I get to use Hotel Football for all the charity events. Sorry to hear about your health, life is too short, but can't help and simile at the fact you have a 250 somewhere. Top work with the charities.

I’ve been a long time scroller but had to sign up To say what an absolutely amazing thoughtful gentleman you are and also your car collection is absolutely fantastic.
Unfortunately my 2 year old daughter spends a lot of time in Noah’s ark Cardiff and has now been referred to a specialist in John Radcliffe Oxford to hopefully give us a definite diagnosis on her condition. I’ve seen what various charities do for these 2 hospitals amongst 4 others she’s seen at and I can’t thank you enough for all the things you do to make those children all have something special especially the ones that are going to be stuck in a hospital in the upcoming Christmas holidays.
I’ll get some pictures up of my (very boring compared to yours) project 205 GTI which is unfortunately on hold the moment due to family obviously taking priority. Also the family wagon that has done 9,000 miles in the past 4 months carrying my daughter to various appointments all over the wales/England and done a fabulous job of it.
I’ll stop clogging your thread up now with my life story haha
I’ve also added you on insta (@collinsben465) hope that’s okay.
Thank you once again!

Hi everybody
Sorry if I’ve not replied to people on here and those that have sent me private messages. I had the big RHCP fund raiser event last night that my company hosted, so I’ve been a bit side tracked.
I will get round to replying to everyone at some point but my heads a bit ruined at the moment. I heard some horrific stories last night from the nurses that worked the late shift on the night of the Manchester Arena bombing. As we all know there was plenty of children that was there to watch their favourite female artist. I won’t go into detail as it’s still very harrowing, and I wasn’t even there, these are just the stories from the wonderful nurses on shift that night.
We raised over £50k last night for those children and for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Everyone there had a story, and I’d especially like to give a big shout out to a man called Jay Patel (who I’m sure won’t mind) for auctioning off a weeks stay on his 10 birth yacht in Palma Nova with 5 staff and a captain that’ll take you anywhere at his own expense. I talked to him after the auction and said how wonderful it was of him, he said he’s raised £3m in the last 5 years from that boat and gave it all to RHCP. His own child has 5 separate terminal illnesses, so he didn’t even blink an eye to do it one more time. A very good man.
Also lovely of Anthony Joshua to donate a pair of his gloves from his last fight.
I wouldn’t mind doing a pistonheads inspired one next year and getting those of us with some desirable cars to raffle off some passenger rides or a track day with them. Whose in?
Anyway, here’s a few pictures from the night. No doubt they’ll be upside down or on the side as I’m uploading from my phone so if someone could rotate them for me please I’d be very grateful.
Sorry for the long post
Cheers
Pete

Well, where to start?
Top man for the charity work and whats looks to have been a great event last night
Well done on beating the evil brain tumor
And well.....what a collection....no point growing old with it sitting in the bank. Must be amazing opening the garage/storage and seeing those beauties.
As for the "lost" 250, I got stressed about misplacing my push bike after a drunk night out. Never did find it, but then hardly worth the effort of finding !....whereas the 250....we need a campaign (as someone else said) to go find it and get it sell able for charity!
OP...i sent an Instagram request.....simonjray is me....be great if you could accept.
Keep well...keep buying cool cars, and keep us updated on here!

Thanks for the kind words, truly appreciated. I’ve added you on instagram too. Yeah no point in worrying about a car, it’ll just stress me out and then I’ll have a seizure, then I’m no good to anybody. Besides, cars come and go, so I might have just replaced it with something equally as good. I’m just waiting to find out if I’ve beat the other bidders to it. Was on your insta earlier today (hskular): I've an old 993 and 550 Maranello and would happily join in during the summer. They're nothing in comparison to your fleet though!Inspirational thread of the year imho.
