All I can add to this thread is that it is truly inspirational! I for one truly wish you all the best in your health so that you continue to enjoy all that you do and bring us the human side of a truly successful businessman to afford the collection you have.

I hope one day I can get even one of the cars that is part of your collection but you truly deserve all that you have with the attitude you have exhibited and continue to when a lot of people would have stopped by now.

All the best in the future for all the endeavours you undertake and hopefully one day get to meet you to discuss cars/properties/businesses !

P.S. A couple of pics of a few toys I saw when watching top gear being filmed a few years ago....

What a wonderful thread.

I've read it with a combination of tears and smiles, and added you on insta . ohgi8

I have a close friend whose wife is coming to the end of her battle with terminal cancer, with 2 young children and it's heartbreaking.
I have two young children and I look at them and can't begin to comprehend what they will go through. I will be there all I can but it feels so inadequate.

The charity work you do is absolutely fantastic, truly a good soul. Keep up the good work, top man.

:-)

Nice to meet you, I’ve added you on instagram. I’m truly sorry to hear about your friend’s wife and her illness. Thanks for the comments about the thread, I’m not here for any kudos though, just to raise the profile of the great work that Manchester Royal Children’s Hospital does.
Pete.

As promised, some pictures of my LFA getting the full level 5 detailing treatment at Topaz detailing.
Oh and some of my AMV12S I picked up today. Not an exciting car which is disappointing.

They still have the LFA?! How long does it take to make a shiny car a little bit shinier? I've really been enjoying this thread but keep hoping to see the LFA being driven!

What are you finding disappointing about the V12 Vantage?
I had a V8 Vantage for a couple of years before I lost my job and my life turned to st (short version of that story!) and thought the V8 Vantage was a great car and all it needed was a big V12 in it for a chunk more 'zing'! Saying that, I now drive a 996 and it is a more exciting/fun car to drive.

Keep up the good work and if you ever have an event on in, or near, Aberdeen please let me know!

You should post about the V12VS over on the Aston Forum. They're a relaxed bunch very open to differing opinions to their own rofl

DELETED: Comment made by a member who's account has been deleted.
It’s about £6.5k for my small cars (Fiat 695, M2)
£10k for the bigger ones like my Wraith, 675lt, 458 SA, etc etc
Yes it has a full PPF too, the works

About 120+ hours go into making it shiny haha. You wouldn’t believe the difference. My brand new ‘67 plate M2 has the worst Orange peel I’ve ever seen, that was until I picked up my AMV12S today.

not wishing to divert the thread too much, but surely there comes a point that you just respray the car competently instead of fighting with a bad OEM job, especially if you're looking at £10k.
you can then have a 'proper' paint and lacquer instead of this watery nonsense they have to put on out of the factory.

I am surprised Topaz are so much money, do you feel they are genuine value for money/ the best about? or do you use them for convenience and peace of mind?

It seems you dislike the Aston, the Aston section on here is really good, they have involvement from Bamford Rose http://www.bamfordrose.com/ who seem extremely knowledgeable on the cars and may offer you some ways to improve/get what you wanted from the car?

What a read - what a top bloke!! Really appreciate your openness and sharing on here Pete.

My parents are involved with the guide dogs, it's a fantastic cause so it was great to read you sponsor this (among so much other great stuff!)

I've sent an instagram request too - @theandysykes

Some cars I get resprayed like the E46 M3 but most of the time I get Topaz to do their thing on it. I’m not too bothered about the cost, I just really like their finish.
Cheers

Yeah I do, but more than that, they’re nice guys, offer a fantastic service and it’s putting money into hard working people’s pockets instead of into a big corporate machine that pays people minimum wage whilst they reap all the rewards.
As far as the Aston is concerned, I’m not that bothered about it now. Kind of just gone out of my mind, I’ll stick it away in storage then in 4-6 months time I’ll have another tinker with it.
I’m just looking forward to getting my little Fiat back.

Yes, bought it from Chris at JCT600 Leeds. Nice guy
Used to work at Brooklands, always liked Chris, eccentric isn't the word I am sure you'll agree. I may also know who the former owner was of that car.. engaged/married to the Heiress of the fourth largest supermarket chain in the UK? (may be miles off, but if not I've driven it)

Here's me moping about losing a job at Christmas but still having a family and a roof over my head, certainly adds some perspective to my minuscule troubles.

Thanks for the read Pete and best of luck in the future.

Just seen on Insta that you’re hopefully getting the new Williams Singer 911!! Absolutely incredible car, pure engineering perfection. And dare I say it even at a cool million it won’t ever lose money.

Awesome collection 2mc.

It's great that you also support sick and terminal kids. My youngest has had a rough start to life, thankfully nothing terminal, but it certainly makes you realise where your priorities lay.
